MSN Slideshow Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7-Round NFL Mock Draft By Pro Football Network FacebookTwitterReddItFlipLinkedinEmail January 24, 2025 | 12:00 PM EST Share FacebookTwitterReddItFlipLinkedinEmail 1 of 7 The Tampa Bay Buccaneers playoff run was short-lived as they were knocked out by the Washington Commanders in the Wild Card round. They would have their eyes on top prospects to strengthen the squad. Let's look at what PFN predicted in their most recent 7-round mock. Although there’s a better-than-not chance that Stewart hears his name called before his teammate, the fit in Tampa Bay is too good not to fantasize about. Although fans are surely clamoring for a linebacker, adding a 290-pound outside linebacker chisled from stone and shot out of a cannon to this defensive line makes the Monstars feel real alongside Vita Vea, Yaya Diabi, and Calijah Kancey. But because he’s so athletic, implementing him in place of Anthony Nelson opposite of Yaya or with his hand in the dirt as more of a 5-technique to spell Logal Hall. And even at slasher defensive tackle weight Stewart is no stranger to pedaling into coverage, either. Maryland does crabcakes and football. Talented FCS and Division II blockers get drafted by the Buccaneers and become consistent starters. That’s just what Jason Licht does. Zabel has a big opportunity in Mobile to showcase his skill against the best players in the country. His tape was somewhat underwhelming in the eyes of this analyst personally, but a strong week at the Senior Bowl could quell some of the dominance concerns that lacked on tape for a small-school prospect. Although Stewart can play the Logan Hall role if needed, Sanders could be the true Hall replacement in the long term. Sanders needs further development to become a consistent three-down player, but he flashes some impressive hands and explosiveness as a pass rusher. Louisville wide receiver Ja’Corey Brooks is one of the most explosive offensive weapons. He is a tall receiver and loves creating mismatches with his size and speed. He excels at stacking defenders and using subtle movements to manipulate coverage. Strong hands, excellent ball tracking, and high-point ability make him reliable at the catch point. Carson Schwesinger is an incredibly productive and disruptive linebacker. His downhill playmaking prowess is easily identifiable on tape. UCLA allows him to get downhill in their one-gap run fits, and despite only playing significant snaps in 2024, his run/pass trigger is impressive. Schwesinger also offers quick hip swivel and good zone-matching eyes in coverage and a bit of blitzing versatility. His ascension to the next level will be interesting. Vernon Broughton uses his size, athleticism, and strength to disrupt both the run and pass game. He is explosive off the snap with fluid movement and strong hands/ Broughton excels at penetrating gaps and collapsing pockets.
