Top SuperDraft Player Prop Picks for Week 3
Daniel Jones, QB, New York Giants | 38.5 Rushing Yards
Did you know Daniel Jones has run for more yards than any other quarterback in the league through the first two weeks of the NFL season?
As hard as that may be to believe, it is a trend I can see continuing into their Week 3 matchup against the 49ers.
The Giants’ offense faced big deficits in the first half against the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals, which led to a lot of dropbacks for Jones.
This type of game script, where the Giants are trailing by multiple scores early in the contest, has led to Jones scrambling a lot in 2023. For the record, a scrambling attempt is a rushing play that was designed as a pass.
Jones leads the league with 12 scrambles through the first two weeks.
He also leads the league in rushing attempts off of RPOs this season.

When you combine all of that information, it becomes a bit easier to believe that Jones has rushed for a minimum of 43 yards in every game during the 2023 campaign.

If the 49ers manage to jump out to an early lead against the Giants on Thursday — who are expected to be without running back Saquon Barkley — then you can expect another game where Jones is dropping back and scrambling a lot in an attempt to keep the Giants competitive in this contest.
Pick: Over
Christian McCaffrey, RB, San Francisco 49ers | 114.5 Rush + Receiving Yards
Some were worried that Christian McCaffrey was going to be in a potential timeshare with Elijah Mitchell heading into the 2023 campaign.
Well, through the first two weeks, here are the respective touches for both players:
- Elijah Mitchell: 5 total touches
- Christian McCaffrey: 48 total touches
McCaffrey has averaged 152 total yards from scrimmage in both of the Niners’ wins this season. In a game where the 49ers could be in control from the early goings, expect to see another healthy — and productive — dose of CMC in Week 3.
Pick: Over
George Kittle, TE, San Francisco 49ers | 44.5 Receiving Yards
We all knew there were a lot of mouths to feed in this San Francisco offense heading into the season, but most would’ve guessed that George Kittle would have more than just six receptions through the first two games.
A shoulder injury to wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk on a short week doesn’t exactly bode well for him seeing a huge role against the Giants.
If Aiyuk is unable to go on Thursday Night Football, his average of seven targets and five receptions per game through the first two weeks opens up a sizable role for a 49ers pass catcher.
Coming off of a week where Kittle only saw three targets, it feels like he would be the best bet to see an expanded role in the passing game against the Giants.
Not to mention, the Giants defense gave up eight receptions for 88 yards to the Arizona Cardinals’ tight end duo of Zach Ertz and Trey McBride.

In a week where one of the usual cogs in the 49ers’ passing attack could be either limited or unavailable, Kittle feels like a great bet to see an expanded role against the Giants’ defense.
