LAS VEGAS — Sunday’s on-field action between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will draw most of the attention during Super Bowl LVIII. But for those in attendance in Las Vegas, the food options available at Allegiant Stadium will be a worthwhile draw.
On Monday, Pro Football Network was given an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the delectable fare that will be served during Super Bowl LVIII. What’s on tap? Here are the top five foods we sampled this week.
Top Foods Available at Super Bowl LVIII
5) Ultimate Seafood Stuffed Potato
The title almost tells it all. Seafood is great, potatoes are great, so what’s not to love?
But the Ultimate Seafood Stuffed Potato contains even more than it promises. Once you make your way past the mouthwatering lobster, you’ll hit the luscious macaroni cheese layer of the potato. That’s right — hidden beneath that lobster layer is an inviting combination of noodles and gooey cheese.
4) LA Street Dog
LA in LV? This isn’t just any old hot dog — this bad boy comes fully loaded.
Served on a homemade bun, the LA Street Dog comes with green chili, jalapenos, grilled vegetables, bacon bits, and hot sauce. We only ate half of one of these dogs, but that was enough to rank it No. 4 on our list.
3) Chicken and Waffles
Chicken and waffles can be hit or miss, but the version served at Allegiant Stadium was a hit.
The waffles were sweet and bready and paired perfectly with a serving of crispy, juicy fried chicken. But perhaps even more impressive was how the Super Bowl iteration of chicken and waffles was plated.
A small pipette of syrup punctured the center of the chicken and waffle combination, allowing easy access for a drizzle of extra sweetness.
2) Wagyu Beef
It’s difficult to mess up Wagyu Beef, and the Super Bowl service staff produced an excellent sample. In fact, several members of Allegiant Stadium’s chef arsenal labeled the Wagyu as their favorite item on the menu.
This Wagyu was flavorful and rich, with a succulent flavor that almost melted in your mouth. With its excellent marbling, even a tiny sample of the Super Bowl Wagyu was worth every bite.
1) Crab Legs
Everything we tried during Monday’s sampling session was outstanding, but the crab legs took the cake.
Arguably the best King Crab legs we’ve ever eaten, the Allegiant Stadium offering was surprisingly sweet. Its tender texture was almost reminiscent of lobster meat.
If you have access to the crab legs on Sunday, make sure you try them.
