Super Bowl Drinking Games 2023: Safe Drinking Games To Play During Super Bowl 57

If you want to make Super Bowl 57 a bit more lively, here are some Super Bowl drinking games to make the biggest game of 2023 even more fun.

Few things go together as well as drinking games and Super Bowl 57. Whether you’re still upset about your team’s season being over, don’t like the teams playing, or simply just want to enjoy the game, there are endless excuses that can be found.

Adding in a few drinking games to the 2023 Super Bowl can be a surefire way to guarantee yourself and your friends a good time. How you feel the next morning is not a guarantee, and as always, drink responsibly.

Safe Super Bowl Drinking Games To Play in 2023

If the 2020s have shown us anything, life is hard enough. You don’t need to give me an excuse to take advantage of this glorious intoxicated loophole that is the Super Bowl.

Some games need you to pay attention. That can be more difficult than some people realize, especially when socializing with friends. So a game like Touchdown Cup becomes super easy for everyone to do.

The rules are as simple as it gets. Finish your drink anytime there is a touchdown. Depending on how you want to feel the next morning — which really should be a national day off from work — a shot could also be thrown in rather than just your drink.

Luckily, touchdowns tend to be spaced out, so you shouldn’t have to double up too quickly and end up passed out on the couch while everyone takes pictures of you at the end of the night.

You can also turn penalties into a drinking occasion. We all know they drive us to drink the way it is when referees decide to get involved. This game is based on yardage. If it’s five yards or less, take a drink. From 5 to 10, take two. Three drinks for a 15-yard penalty; finish it off anything further than 15 yards.

Just try to go easy unless you’re actively trying not to make it to halftime.

Turn Super Bowl 57 Squares Into a Drinking Game

This is one everyone can play and takes little to no effort. Heck, you don’t even need to pay attention for the majority of the game or know what is happening. Instead of words or events, turn the score into a drinking game. Just like traditional Super Bowl squares where you pick a number on a board that correlates to the game score, anytime the score in the game lands on your square, take a drink.

If the quarter ends on your square, finish whatever you have in your hand. Sometimes the easiest drinking games are the best ones on Super Bowl Sunday. This might be the easiest one of them all (and one of the most popular).

Bring Some Props Into Your 2023 Super Bowl Drinking Games

Just because the game is on, that doesn’t mean all of your drinking games need to be based on what happens on TV. Do you have a favorite card game you like to play, like poker, euchre, or even go fish? Turn that into a game to keep you occupied during commercial breaks or halftime.

Test out who is the best quarterback in your own living room with a mini-football toss. Set up some hoops or empty trash cans a decent distance away and set up teams or go 1-on-1. The loser has to drink.

Throw together a quick football game in the backyard even and call yourself a professional since now pro players are playing flag football on TV. I see no difference.

Word-Related 2023 Super Bowl Drinking Games

These can be as simple or as complex as you want. It all comes down to how well you think you can remember the rules once the fourth quarter rolls around. I’d recommend having these written down on a whiteboard or something and have it handy, so you don’t forget.

    • Any time Andy Reid’s coaching tree is discussed or his connection to the Eagles.
    • When they mention both Travis and Jason Kelce are playing against each other (sorry for this one).
    • Roger Goodell is shown on the broadcast.

    Finish Your Drink…

    • Any time Mike Pereira has to talk about a blown call by the referees.
    • Brittany or Jackson Mahomes are shown or mentioned (can exclude post-game celebrations).
    • When someone from the winning team says, “I’m going to Disneyland.”
