In a recent episode of “We Playin’ Spades,” former NFL defensive back Ryan Clark revealed that he had a vasectomy at his wife’s request. Clark appeared on the podcast alongside former Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder, who also shared that he had undergone the procedure.

Ex-Steelers CB Ryan Clark Talks Openly About Getting a Vasectomy
Clark, a Super Bowl winner with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2008, appeared on “We Playin’ Spades,” hosted by Nick Cannon and Courtney Bee. The group played several entertaining games and shared stories ranging from sexually transmitted infections to being chased by horses.
During a discussion about male grooming, Clark pivoted to his experience with a vasectomy. According to the 2011 Pro Bowler, the decision was made by his wife, who did not want a fourth child.
“I wanted number four,” Clark said, before revealing his wife made the final decision.
“My wife told me she did not want number four. And I had to respect that. And she was like, ‘I had these babies, so you’re gonna help us stop having these babies.'”
Clark’s confession sparked another detailed conversation on the topic of vasectomies. And he wasn’t the only one at the table to reveal he had undergone the procedure.
Crowder also shared his experience, jokingly suggesting that Cannon — who has 12 children — should consider it.
“I got a vasectomy as well. It’s another man at this table that needs to think about that s**t.”
Cannon responded by saying that he wasn’t ready to consider a vasectomy, adding that he might want more children in the future.
Former NFL players Ryan Clark and Channing Crowder reveal they both had vasectomies, while Nick Cannon makes it clear he’s not done having kids.
