Sunday Night Football features two teams with the playoffs and playoff seeding on their mind. One of which is one of the NFL’s elite teams, while the other is in the mix, but feels like they may be just a tier below in the conference hierarchy.
As the season grows longer, every game begins to hold more meaning, especially for teams looking to secure seeding in a tightly contested AFC playoff battle. What time does the NFL game start tonight, and how can you watch it?
Who Plays on Sunday Night Football Tonight?
- Teams: Baltimore Ravens vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
- Location: EverBank Stadium, Jacksonville, Florida
Week 15 has once again given us another highly-anticipated Sunday Night Football matchup tonight, as the 10-3 Baltimore Ravens head to Florida to take on the 8-5 Jacksonville Jaguars. These are two teams deeply entrenched in the AFC playoff picture with both needing a win to keep pace in their race for better seeding throughout.
The Ravens come into Week 15 winners of their last three games with quarterback Lamar Jackson quietly creeping into the MVP conversation. They come into this game with a one-game lead over the Miami Dolphins for the AFC’s No. 1 seed and look to maintain it.
When Jackson was asked about being thrust into the MVP talk, he was honored but wanted to keep the main thing, the main thing: “It’s an honor just being acknowledged — to be [in] conversation with great guys,” Jackson said. “But I’m just trying to stay locked in trying to win because I want another trophy.”
As for the Jaguars, they come into this matchup on a two-game skid, with yet another tough challenge tonight against Baltimore. Nothing is given in the NFL, but if Jacksonville can find a way to win tonight, the schedule lightens up a bit to end the season.
Following tonight’s bout against the Ravens, the Jaguars will finish out the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, and Tennessee Titans.

While head coach Doug Pederson understands the magnitude of this week’s game, he feels like his team is ready for the challenge.
“They want to put their best foot forward and play a complete game,” Pederson said Friday. “They’ve had a good week. I’ve felt like they’ve been locked in and focused. We had a couple of good days.”
