Sunday Night Football Tonight: Who Plays, TV Channel, Start Time, Live Stream Options, and More

Sunday Night Football features two teams with the playoffs and playoff seeding on their mind. One of which is one of the NFL’s elite teams, while the other is fighting to keep its place within the Wild Card race.

As the NFL season grows longer, every game begins to hold more meaning, especially for teams in the playoff bubble. What time does the NFL game start tonight, and how can you watch it?

Who Plays on Sunday Night Football Tonight?

Everyone knows that Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are real-deal contenders, but with them going 2-2 in their last four games, Sunday night offers a chance to find some much-needed consistency as they look to lock in for the home stretch of the season.

The Chiefs head to Lambeau Field to take on a Green Bay Packers team on 10 days rest coming off a big division win over a good Detroit Lions team.

It’s never easy to hit the road on prime time, but certainly not when it’s against a well-rested team looking to keep pace in their own playoff race. Next up for the Chiefs after Sunday is a home date against another Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, so making sure they’re locked in and able to handle their business tonight will be key to not making this a trap game.

On the Packers’ side of things, every game from here on out is important. They currently sit at 5-6 and are winners of three of their last four games, scrapping their way into the NFC Wild Card picture.

MORE: Green Bay Packers Playoff Scenarios and Chances

Tonight will be an important one for the team as it represents, on paper, their toughest matchup remaining on the season. Following this game, the Packers have a manageable slate consisting of the New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, Minnesota Vikings, and finishing the season against the Chicago Bears.

If Green Bay is able to find a way to knock off Mahomes and the Chiefs at home tonight, they may be able to go on a bit of a run to end the season that puts them in serious contention to compete for a playoff spot.
