Are you competing today in a DFS fantasy football tournament, 50/50, multiplier, head-to-head, or any other FanDuel competition destined to separate you from the pack? Well, of course, it wouldn’t hurt to include a couple of cheap, high-upside options in your lineup. Here are my favorite NFL DFS Week 11 bargain picks.
NFL DFS bargain picks for Sunday Week 11 | $5,000-$7,000
The following player values are based on FanDuel pricing. All are priced lower than their likely actual Week 11 value.
AJ Dillon, RB, Green Bay Packers ($7,000)
AJ Dillon is only a bargain because he should be priced about $1,000 higher. Dillon will realistically earn 20+ touches with Aaron Jones sidelined, and his upside is just as high as Jones’. Fire him up as an RB1.
Justin Fields, QB, Chicago Bears ($6,800)
Tied for the 21st-priciest DFS QB on the Sunday slate, Justin Fields has a good shot at cracking the top 14. He has turned a corner the past two weeks, thanks in part to 148 combined rushing yards. That’s what you get with Chicago’s rookie — a fantastic floor if he’s mobile and a stellar ceiling if he can somehow generate more passing offense.
Darren Waller, TE, Las Vegas Raiders ($6,700)
My opponent this week has Darren Waller. It brings me no joy to say this, but he and the Raiders will figure this out. Ignore the slump. The opposing Bengals are a terrific bust-out opportunity.
Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars ($6,500)
This summer, I warned readers not to buy into the Trevor Lawrence hype. Now, the pendulum is swinging too far the other way.
While he’s been non-startable in four straight contests, the opposing 49ers are middling in opposing QB rating and well below average in opposing completion percentage. Like Fields, Lawrence has a very bright NFL future. I believe he’ll snap out of his slump today.
Rashod Bateman, WR, Baltimore Ravens ($5,800)
I don’t love the matchup, but I do love the fantasy player. Rashod Bateman is the real deal, and with Marquise Brown out for Week 11, he and Mark Andrews will serve as the top receiving targets. Bateman is a sneak DFS play, given his WR2 upside.
Marvin Jones Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars ($5,700)
The painfully underutilized Marvin Jones Jr. is a breakout waiting to happen. Jacksonville signed him to help elevate Lawrence. It’s happened sparingly and needs to happen more. Today’s a good day to make it right.
Robby Anderson, WR, Carolina Panthers ($5,600)
It’s all about risk and reward. This season, Robby Anderson has shown little, and his completion percentage is the worst of any starting WR. But Carolina’s QB upgrade (Cam Newton) is great news for Anderson, who is one of fantasy football’s biggest underperformers. I’d take the leap today and for the rest of the season.
Ty Johnson, RB, New York Jets ($5,200)
I have Michael Carter and traded for Ty Johnson this week for an insurance policy. Johnson also offers TD-dependent stand-alone value. If you need a cheap plug-in in DFS, he could get you 10+ points today.
Cole Kmet, TE, Chicago Bears ($5,100)
Cole Kmet was supposed to have a greater impact this season. Last week, we finally saw it (6-87 receiving line). On a team desperate for offensive playmakers, Kmet fits the bill.
Jeff Wilson Jr., RB, San Francisco 49ers ($5,000)
With Elijah Mitchell doubtful as of early Sunday morning, Jeff Wilson Jr. is expected to earn his first start of the season. Remember, in three spot starts last year, he looked the part of an experienced bell cow. If you’re going to invest in any ultra-cheap DFS player this weekend, invest in Wilson.
NFL DFS bargain picks for Sunday Week 11 | Less than $5,000
Who should you grab in DFS that is less than $5,000 on FanDuel? All are priced lower than their likely actual Week 11 value.
David Njoku, TE, Cleveland Browns ($4,900)
In Week 5, David Njoku had one of the best fantasy TE performances of the year with 7 catches for 149 yards and 1 TD. He’s been mostly a non-factor ever since. With injuries ravaging the receiving corps, Njoku has an opportunity to step up as the No. 3 or No. 4 receiving option in Cleveland.
Tony Jones Jr., RB, New Orleans Saints ($4,600)
This one is for the boldest among you. Alvin Kamara is hurt, and the nearly 32-year-old Mark Ingram is starting. Tony Jones Jr. was just activated after missing six weeks and showed well in a limited capacity earlier this season.
If Ingram struggles against Philadelphia, or if the game script strongly favors or disfavors New Orleans, don’t be surprised if Jones gets 10+ touches. At this price, he’d be worth the investment.
Tennessee Titans, D/ST ($4,600)
Against Houston, the Titans are a must-start in regular fantasy leagues. In DFS, they should be targeted heavily.
Carolina Panthers, D/ST ($4,100)
How much do we trust Washington’s offense? I think Carolina will win comfortably, forcing Taylor Heinicke to throw more than he should be. Expect at least a couple of turnovers and multiple sacks for the resurgent Panthers.
