Sports are at their best when heated rivals face off. The Yankees facing the Red Sox, the Steelers facing the Ravens, and Stephen A. Smith going after the Dallas Cowboys and their fan base. Is there a grudge in all of sports more profound than Smith’s hatred of the Cowboys?
Unfortunately for Dallas fans, Smith provided an ominous warning ahead of Monday Night Football.
From the current NFL standings to team depth charts to coverage of every game in the 18-week NFL schedule, we have all the news from around the league to keep you up to speed!
What Did Stephen A. Smith Say to Dallas Cowboys Fans?
Smith and the Cowboys have a checkered past. Smith predicts their eventual demise, the Cowboys falter, and then Smith goes on TV to gloat.
In many previous experiences, Smith has worn a Cowboy hat to mock the Dallas fan base. Heading into a must-win game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night, Smith issued another warning.

“Guess who is going to be at the Cowboys game tonight…and on NFL Countdown. You have NO idea what you’re in for.”
If Dallas loses to the Chargers on Monday night, expect an epic rant incoming during First Take on Tuesday morning.
Is This a Must-Win Game for the Cowboys?
With three more months to go, the NFL season is still young. But the importance of the Cowboys’ game against the Chargers on Monday night should not be understated.
Dallas enters this contest following a drubbing at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers, and they need to put the taste of that defeat behind them as quickly as possible.
The Cowboys’ defense was exposed by a versatile 49ers’ offense capable of stretching defenses vertically and sideline to sideline. QB Dak Prescott looked like the player we saw in 2022, a gunslinger who makes poor decisions, committing turnovers that set the team back.
Dallas needs to put this game behind them, and the only way to do that is with a victory.
The Chargers, meanwhile, enter this contest following a much-needed bye week. L.A.’s offense is nowhere near as explosive without their top playmaker, running back Austin Ekeler. Ekeler had sustained a high ankle sprain in Week 1, causing him to miss the next three games, but he returns Monday night.
Los Angeles must continue riding the hot hand of QB Justin Herbert and his consistent connection with receiver Keenan Allen. They lost Mike Williams for the season, but WRs Joshua Palmer and Quentin Johnston can step up in his absence.
Offensive coordinator Kellen Moore will also be extra motivated to show his old team that they were wrong to fire him last season. Expect fireworks on Monday night.
