Stefon Diggs Dynasty Profile: Fantasy Outlook, Value, Projections, and Rankings

As dynasty fantasy football managers are in full swing, where does the dynasty value of Stefon Diggs stand, and where does he come in for our rankings?

As we close in toward the new season, the ever-changing NFL landscape has player fantasy values constantly on the move, with key events like free agency and the 2023 NFL Draft still to come. Whether you’re used to the dynasty platform or are still learning the rules, let’s dive into the latest dynasty fantasy football value of WR Stefon Diggs.

Stefon Diggs’ Dynasty Outlook and Value

With a 27.3% target share, 34.3% air-yard share, and 23 red-zone targets, Diggs was excellent once again in 2022. The WR4 overall and WR5 in points per game (18.6 PPR), Diggs was fifth in targets (149) and one of only seven players to record over 100 receptions (108, third). He finished fifth in receiving yards (1,429) and was one of only three wide receivers with double-digit touchdowns (11), joining Davante Adams (14) and A.J. Brown (11).

He’s been unstoppable for quite some time but took it to another level since joining the Bills. Over the last three seasons, Diggs has averaged 161.7 targets, 112.7 receptions, 1,396.3 yards, and 9.7 touchdowns per season. During that stretch, he finished as the WR3, WR7, and WR4.

The question is, how long can he keep this up? Diggs will turn 30 this season, which is a significant number in the dynasty community, as there is a decent correlation between a downward turn in production and a player reaching 30 years old.

With that said, there are exceptions to every rule, and Diggs has habitually been a rule-breaker. I feel there are still two years of high-level production from Diggs before we begin to see a drop-off that will significantly impact his value.

    Stefon Diggs’ Fantasy Ranking

Few players have been as reliable for dynasty over the last three years as Diggs. It’s why you see him consistently in the first part of drafts and in the upper tier of rankings. Currently, Diggs is the WR12 in PPR formats and is No. 30 overall in Superflex rankings, where QBs see an increase in value due to positional scarcity.

Diggs is likely better situated on a dynasty team trying to compete and win right now. If you have a roster that is not competing for a championship and is in the process of rebuilding, I would move Diggs for multiple first-round picks or a young receiver plus a pick, if possible, unless you can get Tee Higgins, Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, DK Metcalf, or someone in this same tier. If you can, a simple one-for-one while adding youth is an easy decision for me.

Those extra players and upside likely will do more for your team in the long run than one elite wide receiver can. While I do believe the Bills will add at least one more receiver into the mix, I don’t see that impacting Diggs’ role in 2023. Lock him in as a WR1 for the 2023 season.
