Steelers vs. Packers prediction, odds, and how to watch the Week 4 game

What are the Steelers vs. Packers odds and prediction, what channel is the game on, and how can you stream this Week 4 matchup?

Sunday afternoon’s NFL slate features a rematch of Super Bowl XLV, as Ben Roethlisberger’s Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Lambeau Field to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. The two teams are currently on polar trajectories, but will the Steelers continue to slip or can they punctuate the Packers’ win streak? Let’s take a look at the current NFL odds, TV channel, how to live stream, as well as a Steelers vs. Packers prediction in Week 4.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Green Bay Packers prediction and odds | Week 4

    • Spread: Packers -6.5
    • Moneyline: Packers -280, Steelers +225
    • Over/Under: 45.5 (Over -110, Under -110)

Are you wanting to add to your purse by betting on the Packers and Steelers? Trying to make a little green from this Green Bay game? If you’re looking to make a little money predicting the future, it’s worth considering the past before you lay down your hard-earned cash.

While recent history suggests Sunday night’s game should be a high-scoring slugfest, there are multiple reasons to take the under. All three of the games the Steelers have been involved in so far in the 2021 NFL season have hit the under. Additionally, 63.6% of all non-overtime games have hit the under this season. Furthermore, 21 of the previous 35 meetings between the Steelers and the Packers have totaled less than the 45.5 over/under.

If you prefer to do your betting against the spread, the Packers at -6.5 makes perfect sense. The Steelers have lost by 14 and 9 points this season. Meanwhile, Green Bay is 2-1 against the spread. A precautionary tale — home favorites are 10-19 against the spread this season. Nonetheless, I like the Packers to cover here.

    Steelers vs. Packers prediction

As mentioned above, recent editions of this Steelers vs. Packers matchup have devolved into a high-scoring slugfest with the two teams combining for over 50 points. The last time that Rodgers and Roethlisberger went into battle, Super Bowl XLV, the Packers won 31-24.

However, these are not the high-scoring Steelers that we’ve come to expect in recent times. Mike Tomlin’s team has just the 26th-ranked scoring offense through Week 3 of the NFL season. Pittsburgh has been unable to pound the rock, ranking last in rushing offense. Despite making the third-most passing attempts in the league, they rank just 13th in passing yards per game.

After holding the Buffalo Bills to just 16 points in the season opener, the defense has lacked the usual Pittsburgh grit. They’ve allowed the sixth-most passing touchdowns while struggling to get to the quarterback, with just 5 sacks through three games.

Having won their season opener, the Steelers are on the slide without any sign of halting their free fall. Meanwhile, the Packers rebounded from their embarrassment at the hands of the New Orleans Saints to comfortably beat the Detroit Lions before Rodgers led them down the field for a last-second win over the 49ers.

Although Rodgers isn’t setting the world alight statistically — he has fewer passing yards than Roethlisberger so far this season — his combination with Davante Adams should be enough to carve up this Steelers secondary if they can’t get consistent pressure on him.

Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers 17, Green Bay Packers 27
