SMU standout Danny Gray, one of the fastest wide receiver prospects, has multiple visits in advance of the NFL Draft. Gray visited the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday and the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday.
Gray has a private workout and dinner meeting with the New Orleans Saints this week, followed by a visit next week with the Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers, according to a league source.

Gray ran the 40-yard dash in 4.33 seconds and recorded a 34-inch vertical leap at the NFL Scouting Combine. He’s the 73rd-ranked player overall on PFN Draft Analyst Ian Cummings’ Big Board. Multiple NFL teams have given him third-round draft grades. At 6-foot-2, 199 pounds, Gray combines size, speed, and route-running skills.
The Dallas native and Blinn College transfer is coming off a productive senior year. He caught 49 passes for a team-high 803 yards. Gray averaged 4.9 catches and 80.3 yards per game, as well as 16.4 yards per catch. Gray was invited to the prestigious Senior Bowl all-star game and was a first-team All-AAC selection.
Prior to SMU, Gray was a first-team All-District selection in high school. Moreover, the Dallas native was a state champion in the 100-meter dash and 100-meter relay.
During his first season at SMU, he caught 33 passes for 448 yards and 4 scores. He even rushed for 2 more touchdowns. Gray chose SMU over competing scholarship offers from TCU, Auburn, Baylor, Florida State, Houston, Mississippi State, and UCF.
Gray was rated one of the top junior college prospects in the country, catching 54 passes for 877 yards and 8 touchdowns.
