    Moore Betting Trends and Stats

In three games as a starter last season, Moore had a combined nine receptions for 82 yards (9.1 yards per reception).

    Moore Best Bet

With JuJu Smith-Schuster gone, Moore is the guy in the eyes of many who is primed to become Patrick Mahomes’ No. 1 target at the wide receiver position. Although his numbers as a rookie last season were hardly impressive (22 receptions, 250 receiving yards, 0 TD), he simply was unable to get on the field enough to make a fair evaluation.

Over his first nine games, Moore was on the field for only 146 offensive snaps, but over his last seven games he was on the field for 167 snaps. And he caught one of Mahomes’ three TD passes in the Super Bowl, in the fourth quarter, no less, so there has to be some sort of trust factor already between Mahomes and Moore.

Travis Kelce’s status is up in the air (knee), and while Kadarius Toney was announced as “good to go” by head coach Andy Reid, who knows how effective he will be in his first game after knee surgery.

While no one is expecting a Year 2 jump from Moore like former Chief (now Miami Dolphin) Tyreek Hill’s (from 593 receiving yards as a rookie to 1,183 yards in 2017), Moore could easily progress like former Chiefs WR Mecole Hardman, who went from 26 catches as a rookie to 41 and 59 receptions by Year 3. That would be more than enough to get Moore to have a good season opener Thursday.

Someone is going to have to catch these passes, and the thought here is it will be Moore out of the slot. If the Chiefs’ health in the receiver/tight end positions was solid, I might say take a week or two before jumping on the Moore bandwagon. But the time is now for Moore.
