The Kansas City Chiefs got their first win of the 2023 campaign on Sunday, as they went to Jacksonville and defeated the Jaguars 17-9.
Patrick Mahomes celebrated his 28th birthday in style, throwing for 305 yards and two touchdowns.
It was a balanced day for the receivers, as Mahomes hit 11 players for the second consecutive week. The Chiefs were led by Skyy Moore, who had three catches for a team-high 70 yards and one touchdown.
While it is true that most of those yards came on a 54-yard catch that all but clinched the game, he showed at least enough to make people think about getting him on their fantasy football squad.

Should Moore Be a Fantasy Waiver Wire Add in Week 3?
In the opener against the Detroit Lions, Moore had zero catches. However, when it comes to Moore, he is definitely one of the more intriguing receivers on the waiver wire.
If you asked the Chiefs which one of their receivers they would love to see have a breakout season, it probably would be Moore. They drafted him in the second round of 2022 NFL Draft, a spot that shows their expectations for him are high. When they needed a touchdown in the Super Bowl last year, they went to him.
Receivers often take their biggest steps from Year 1 to Year 2, and Moore could definitely have that type of season. He is a very good route runner who does a nice job of making plays after the catch.
When it comes to waiver wires, there is always an element of risk. There is a reason why those players are there in the first place. Whether it is inconsistent play, injury issues, or whatever the reason is, if they were a sure thing, they would already be on a roster.
However, it isn’t often you look at the waiver wire and there is a wide receiver that could be the best on their team. Add the fact that Moore does play with the very best quarterback in the NFL, and this is an intriguing waiver wire move.

Should you go all out and use all your funds on Moore? Probably not. However, he has more upside than the usual waiver wire receiver and could definitely be a very good filler if you have injury or bye issues later in the season.
For the right price, Moore could be a sneaky move on the waiver wire.
