NFL Analyst Skip Bayless Blames Taylor Swift for Recent Chiefs Struggles

The Kansas City Chiefs are struggling right now, and NFL analyst Skip Bayless is ready to take at Taylor Swift for their recent woes.

The Kansas City Chiefs have been going through it this season. Despite the famous words of new Chiefs superfan Taylor Swift, they simply have not been able to “shake it off” quite that easily this year. What was supposed to be another year with Patrick Mahomes leading a top-tier offense, has turned into anything but.

Mahomes and the Chiefs are fresh off a tough division loss on Christmas Day to the Las Vegas Raiders and have lost three of their last four games. While they are still a respectable 9-6 and atop the AFC West, nobody can deny that things haven’t looked as clean for the team as we’re used to seeing.

NFL analysts, among others, are wondering if outside facts are the reason for it.

Skip Bayless Blames Taylor Swift for Struggling Chiefs

It isn’t easy to win a game in the NFL, and despite what Mahomes and Travis Kelce have been able to accomplish in their careers, they’re getting a real reminder of that fact this year.

Meanwhile, Fox Sports’ Skip Bayless believes it’s the fault of outside factors for their less-than-stellar showing this year and believes it may be megastar and Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift’s fault.

“It is starting to unravel on the field,” Bayless started. “Travis Kelce doesn’t look healthy. I’m not sure Mahomes is healthy, but because it’s teetering, that Taylor Swift effect from on high, she is a megastar of stars and Mahomes’ wife is up there in the box with her and all the sudden it starts to creep in your mind that we have to deal with this.

“It’s a lot of stuff on top of the battles that you’re now facing on the field,” Bayless finished.

There is no doubt that Kelce has struggled at times this season and has even shown his fair share of frustration as well. But to blame Swift and her presence for the team’s struggles feels a bit far-fetched.

Based on the facial expressions and some push back by both co-hosts Keyshawn Johnson and Michael Irvin, they may feel the same way.

The Chiefs have two weeks to figure things out before the playoffs start. If they can do so, Kansas City may end up in a place they know all too well.

If not, then Bayless and those with similar opinions may be able to provide the Chiefs with a cruel summer when it comes to media coverage.
