Colorado Buffaloes safety and NFL prospect Shilo Sanders recently discussed his brother, Shedeur Sanders, and father, Deion Sanders, ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. While discussing a variety of topics with the popular X profile ‘@DLLS_Sports’, Shilo revealed that he was not completely sure what Coach Prime would be doing next season.
Over the past few weeks, rumors were circulating that Prime Time may become the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. However, it was announced on Jan. 24 that the club would be promoting former offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to their head coach position.
As a result, with only the New Orleans Saints head coaching vacancy remaining, it appears as though Coach Prime will not be making the move to the NFL this year. But will he in 2026?
What Did Shilo Sanders Say About Deion Sanders?
The popular social media profile ‘@JaKiTruth’ released the clip on X and provided a description of Shilo’s quotes, as well as crediting ‘@DLLS_Sports’ for the video.
In the video, Shilo made clear that he enjoyed taking the same football journey as his brother Shedeur, as it gave them a similar experience and the possibility of being a package deal in the NFL.
🔥 Shilo's Swag. The Package Deal. Talks Coach Prime and #2
"I got my own swag now, but I'll give him some credit. It's good because we can be a package deal. I don't know what my dad is going to do. He is not really in the package deal right now"

“It’s good because we can be a package deal,” Shilo stated.
He was then asked about whether his father, Coach Prime, would be a part of the previously mentioned package deal.
“I don’t know what he’s going to do. He’s not really in on the package deal right now,” Shilo added.
Shilo Sanders’ 2025 NFL Draft Projection
In Pro Football Network’s latest 7-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft, Shilo was selected in the seventh round, No. 229 overall, by the Carolina Panthers. While not the top prospect that his brother Shedeur is, Shilo has the ability to make an impact at the professional level.
Sanders possesses a sturdy frame ideal for handling physical matchups, particularly against tight ends and bigger receivers. He’s a reliable tackler in the open field and thrives in run support, often delivering bone-crunching hits that set the tone for his defense.
In coverage, Shilo demonstrates good instincts and anticipation, though his range in deep zones and man-to-man quickness can occasionally be tested against elite speed. His leadership and passion for the game are undeniable, making him a respected voice in the locker room.
While Sanders may not have the elite athleticism of some top-tier prospects, his toughness and versatility project him as a Day 3 pick with rotational upside and special teams value.
With Shilo expected to be selected on the third day of the NFL Draft, there’s a real chance that a team uses a pick on him to keep the family together and perhaps use it to lure Deion to the NFL in 2026.
