‘It’ll Be Fun’ – Shedeur Sanders Reveals His Super Bowl Weekend Plans Amid NFL Draft Rumors

Shedeur Sanders has his Super Bowl weekend plans sorted after a brief Texas outing at the East-West Shrine Bowl. He was present as an interview-only prospect and interacted with a couple of teams that are in contention for a future franchise QB.

While the year gets busier for the Colorado Buffaloes passer, he is planning to take some time off around Super Bowl 59 before getting back to work. Recently, he spoke about his plans for the coming week with the country getting caught up in Super Bowl fever.

Shedeur Sanders Opens Up About His Chiefs vs Eagles Game Weekend

It has been a long season for Sanders since the Buffaloes underwent a major transformation led by NFL legend, and his father, Deion Sanders. A team that was just 1-11 two years ago has now become a College Football Playoff contender after wrapping up the season with a 9-4 record.

Sanders played a pivotal role in this journey, helping command the offense as quarterback the past two seasons. Colorado was able to punch a ticket to the Alamo Bowl in 2024 and should continue their recent success under Coach Prime’s watch.

On Jan. 30, his latest episode of the Legendary podcast, Sanders talked about his plans for the upcoming week. He said that he wouldn’t be attending Super Bowl 59 but had something else lined up already. “Bro, we’ll be actually recording a podcast out there, so I’ll be out there. It’ll be fun. I’m excited to go and experience New Orleans,” he said.

Sanders continued further, saying, “You know Warren, the receiver from Jackson, he just saw me. He just put up on me by the shrine boat. So basically, I just told him I’ll be out there in New Orleans. So he’ll make sure we find the high school to work out in so we don’t backtrack and take a step back from training and everything, and it’ll be fun.”

“I am not going to the game. My birthday, bro, let me stand up when I say this. My birthday is February 7. I will be there in New Orleans. Nobody has any surprises for me. Yeah. I got switch up on everybody, bro,” he added.

According to the current NFL Draft order,  Sanders is expected to be the first overall pick by the Tennessee Titans. If the franchise passes on him, he could likely end up with the QB-needy New York Giants.
