Shedeur Sanders has never been one to shy away from speaking his mind, and with the 2025 NFL Draft quickly approaching, the Colorado quarterback made his stance clear on where he expects to be selected. As one of the top two quarterbacks in this year’s class, Sanders has generated significant buzz, with analysts furiously discussing which team will pick him.
After two sensational seasons at Colorado under his father, head coach Deion Sanders, Shedeur has established himself as a polished passer with an elite football IQ. His ability to dissect defenses pre-snap, maintain poise in the pocket, and deliver accurate throws has made him one of the most highly touted prospects in the upcoming draft.
While some scouts have him in the mix for the No. 1 pick, others see him falling a bit further down the board. One recent mock draft, however, caught Sanders’ attention for all the wrong reasons.

Shedeur Sanders Not Pleased With Mock Draft Projection
ESPN’s Field Yates released his latest 2025 NFL mock draft, projecting Sanders to be selected sixth overall. That projection didn’t sit well with the quarterback, who reacted to it in a video taken of him while he was working out, which was then posted to social media.
“That’s cap bro, I ain’t going 6th bro,” Sanders responded, dismissing the idea that he would fall outside the first few picks.

Sanders’ confidence isn’t unwarranted. Many analysts believe he could be one of the first names called on draft night, and PFSN’s latest mock draft has him going No. 6 overall to the Las Vegas Raiders as well.
“Perhaps one of the most commonly mocked team and player fits, Sanders to Las Vegas just feels right. The Raiders are in desperate need of a quarterback and Shedeur Sanders has the talent to be the team’s new franchise passer.
“Sanders may not have elite physical tools, but he throws with very good accuracy, timing, and touch. He should go a long way in bringing some much needed excitement to Sin City,” PFSN wrote.
Sanders Visits Already Scheduled With Top Teams
Regardless of where Sanders starts his NFL career, the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants are clearly intrigued by him as a potential franchise quarterback. The 23-year-old recently revealed that he had already set up visits with both Cleveland and New York — two teams desperately in need of talent and stability at the QB position.
For the Browns, moving on from Deshaun Watson would be a major decision, but with franchise cornerstone Myles Garrett requesting a trade, Cleveland could be looking to hit the reset button.
Meanwhile, the Giants have also shown interest, as they continue searching for a long-term answer at quarterback.
