‘I Want Jalen Hurts To Win’ – NFL-Bound Shedeur Sanders Makes His Super Bowl Pick Extremely Clear

The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs are slowly forging a new rivalry, with passionate fans from both sides creating a wave of anticipation for Super Bowl LIX. The championship game will be played at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Feb. 9, with experts and pundits gearing up with predictions for the heavyweight clash.

Among the many, top NFL Draft prospect Shedeur Sanders has also joined the debate on who will win the Super Bowl 57 rematch. The first of Kansas City’s three consecutive Super Bowl appearances ended with a win over Philadelphia in 2022.

Shedeur Sanders Makes His Prediction for Super Bowl LIX

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will enter as favorites, partly due to the pedigree that comes with consistently winning in January. They are looking for a three-peat, something that was never been done in the Super Bowl era. But the opportunity to avenge Super Bowl 57’s loss is near and dear to the Eagles’ hearts.

In 2022, Mahomes devastated Philadelphia with the help of a last-second Harrison Butker field goal, winning 38-35.

The Eagles, though, got back in the win column in Kansas City the following year, although their season fell apart well before the Super Bowl. With running back Saquon Barkley dominating and a new cast of characters remaking the defense, Philadelphia could very well end Mahomes’ bid at history.

NFL Draft prospect Shedeur Sanders thinks the Eagles have a better chance this season, and he’s rooting for quarterback Jalen Hurts to make it happen. He credited Mahomes but said that he wants the Eagles to win and is picking them to do so.

“I got the Eagles. I want Jalen Hurts to win. He has a good story. I love Patrick Mahomes, but I want the Eagles to win, Sanders said on his Legendary podcast this week.

“I think most important thing in football is being able to run the ball. They have Saquon Barkley… I think they’ll be able to establish the run and get a lot of play-action passes,” he added.

Hurts finished the regular season as the league’s fourth-best quarterback by PFN’s QB+ metric. Mahomes, meanwhile, ranked 10th.

Sanders, who is currently projected to be a top-five pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, will hope to find similar success to the quarterbacks on the docket for Super Bowl 59.
