Over the NFL combine weekend, some reports started to emerge that at least one team had concerns over Shedeur Sanders’ behavior. When asked about his thoughts on those concerns, Sanders had a short and sweet response.

Shedeur Sanders Responds to Recent Criticism
This all started over the weekend when a report came out from NFL insider Josina Anderson after teams met with Sanders over the NFL combine weekend.
According to Anderson, a QB coach from a team drafting in the top seven referred to Sanders as coming off “brash and arrogant” in his team interview, and that QB coach made his assessment known to a number of people.
To put this into perspective, Anderson also noted that she checked in with league sources, and that QB coach has a reputation for having issues with the “culture of athletes” that have broad fame and success before entering the NFL.
This does seem to be a one-off type of opinion on Sanders, as Anderson went on to say that this assessment was “the direct opposite from how Sanders came across to many reporters in his press conference with the media during the combine.”
When asked about this report, Sanders did not offer much, only to respond with a classic three word quote, per ESPN Cleveland.

There has been mixed messaging coming out of the combine regarding Sanders’ draft status, as ESPN NFL Draft expert Mel Kiper had Sanders slipping in his most recent NFL mock draft.
He had Sanders going to the Jets at pick No. 7, which would be somewhat of a draft day slide for a top two QB prospect in the NFL Draft, with this to say:
“The Jets, however, might favor drafting a quarterback over trying another veteran. Because they are moving on from Aaron Rodgers, they could opt for the high-end accuracy and field vision of Sanders in an offense that has plenty of pieces already in place. In 2024, Sanders completed 74.0% of his passes, had 4,134 passing yards and threw 37 TDs.
“Those are all top-four numbers in the FBS. Sanders would elevate this New York team that was near the bottom of the league in most passing metrics this past season and allow it to build around his rookie contract. The youthful combination of Sanders, receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall could do some damage.”
History has taught us that QBs generally tend to fly up draft boards, which is what PFSN predicts, as they have Sanders going to the Raiders at sixth overall.
“If one of the top two quarterbacks is available here, it is difficult to see the Las Vegas passing on one. The Sanders family has a history with the Las Vegas Raiders, who desperately need competent play under center.
Sanders has a pro-ready skill set but doesn’t offer the sky-high ceiling that others do. The steady Colorado passer has great accuracy, processing, and pace control to be a game manager in the NFL.”
While it does not seem like this specific QB coach is coming off as untruthful in his personal beliefs towards Sanders, it is still an unknown how teams really value Sanders at this point.
