Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders was likely watching the NFL games closely this past weekend. The results had ripple effects on his life as the 2025 NFL Draft order was made official. The final games were played and the Tennessee Titans ended up with the first overall pick. As a projected top-five pick, Sanders spoke about being happy with whatever team drafts him.
Shedeur Sanders Talks About His Faith in God and Being Happy With Whichever NFL Drafts Him
Sanders is viewed as one of the top two quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft alongside Miami’s Cam Ward. The possibility exists he will be the first overall pick.
However, even if he does not get drafted first, he will almost certainly go within the first five picks.
On Tuesday, he released an episode of his podcast, “2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders.” On the episode, he talked with his brother, Deion Sanders Jr., about what he thinks about the top five teams now that the Titans have the first overall pick.

“I’ve been doing a lot of thinking, bro. What’s meant to happen is going to happen. You know I don’t feel like God would put me in a place you know, I’m not supposed to go. We made it everywhere that we have went and been successful.”
“That’s the thing bro, I’m not paying attention to people or what these people are saying or what these people are saying because of course they’re going to try to degrade you. They’re trying to paint a bigger picture of you and all that kind of stuff.
“Anyways, I’m happy of the order and whatever happens you know at the end of the day, God’s gonna put me on the right team.”
The top three picks are the Titans, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants. All three teams could use a young quarterback, although the Browns still have Deshaun Watson under contract. As a result, it looks like the Titans and Giants are the most likely teams to draft Sanders.
From mock drafts, draft experts seem split on whether Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders will be the first quarterback off the board. Those teams might not be decided yet, so it could come down to what happens at the NFL Combine.
