‘I Don’t Want My Tattoos To Look Gibberish’ — Shedeur Sanders Bluntly Rejects Tattoo Sleeve Idea

During an episode of "2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders," the Colorado QB shut down the idea of a tattoo sleeve when pressed by his co-host.

Shedeur Sanders isn’t just picky about his throws — he’s also got strong opinions on tattoos. The Colorado Buffaloes quarterback, who is projected to be a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, made it clear he has no plans to cover his arms in tattoo sleeves.

During an episode of his “2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders,” Sanders was asked by co-host Darius Sanders (of no relation) if he’d ever get a full sleeve tattoo. Without hesitation, Shedeur shut the idea down: “No,” he said flatly. When pressed further, the Buffaloes QB doubled down: “There’s no point, bro. I don’t want my tattoos to just look like gibberish on my arm. I want to see my money sign.”

While the Colorado QB might be selective about his ink, that didn’t stop him from sneaking his first tattoo past his father, NFL Hall of Famer and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders. Shedeur admitted on the podcast that he initially hid his tattoo from his dad, keeping his hand tucked under his shirt during meetings. “It was very nerve-wracking,” he said. “If he got mad, I couldn’t erase it.”

In another resurfaced video from Deion’s Jackson State days, Coach Prime was seen arguing with Shedeur about tattoos, shutting down any discussion about getting one. “Where does this come from? What is your dream? Keep on that,” Deion told him.

Tattoos or not, it looks like Shedeur made good of his quarterback talent. He’s primed to be one of the biggest names in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Buffaloes QB put up monster numbers in the 2024 season, throwing for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and completing an impressive 74% of his passes.

Helping Coach Prime and Colorado to a 9-4 record and an Alamo Bowl loss to BYU, Shedeur proved he has the temperament, accuracy, and confidence to leap to the next level. However, scouts remain split on his draft stock, with some projections placing him anywhere between the No. 2 and No. 6 pick.

Critics argue that Sanders can sometimes rely too much on his arm talent and struggles when forced off-platform. He tends to hold onto the ball too long, leading to unnecessary sacks. However, his strengths — timing, accuracy, and composure — have NFL franchises excited.

With his father as a mentor and his talent on full display, the Buffs quarterback is determined to let his play do the talking, whether or not he adds more ink along the way.
