Tyreek Hill is on a record-setting pace to begin the 2023 season and has the Miami Dolphins offense on a historic ascension. Hill’s second season for the Dolphins is having the type of impact the Miami front office had hoped when they dealt several high-end draft picks to the Kansas City Chiefs for the speedy wideout.
With a healthy Tua Tagovailoa under center, Hill has been a menace to the opposition in 2023. No one has stopped “The Cheetah” — no one has even slowed him down. Hill is on pace for over 2,000 yards receiving and is terrorizing defenses around the NFL.
First Take’s Shannon Sharpe has taken notice and provided some hyperbole for the Dolphins receiver.
From the current NFL standings to team depth charts to coverage of every game in the 18-week NFL schedule, we have all the news from around the league to keep you up to speed!
Did Shannon Sharpe Call Tyreek Hill the NFL MVP?
Sharpe called Hill the most valuable “non-QB” in the league. Understandably, Sharpe didn’t want to compare the speedster to quarterbacks who touch the ball on every play where their value outweighs other players at different positions for that very reason.

Sharpe praised the dynamic receiver, saying, “He is the most dangerous man … That man, No. 10, at 5’8” and 195 pounds, strikes more fear into the heart of opposing coaches than any current player because of that speed and his ability to break the game open at any moment.”
Does Sharpe Make a Compelling Case?
One could argue that Hill has been the most dangerous man in the NFL for several years now, going back to his tenure in Kansas City as well. The NFL covets speed, and no one has speed and elusiveness like Hill does. He has broken open many NFL games throughout his career, so the fear around the league isn’t new.
The way the Dolphins deploy Hill is fascinating. Miami head coach Mike McDaniel is an offensive genius, and McDaniel has put the NFL on notice with the embarrassment of speed the Dolphins have accumulated at the skill positions. Combining Hill with fellow receiver Jaylen Waddle and running backs Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane should be illegal.
The Dolphins have put the league on notice, and no lead is safe. The Panthers jumped out to a 14-0 lead on Miami this past Sunday, which was just a wakeup call to a slumbering Dolphins offense. Once Miami got rolling, there was no stopping them as they rang up another 40+ point effort. The Miami juggernaut isn’t stopping anytime soon.
