SEC Scouting Reports for 2021 NFL Draft

2021 NFL Draft | SEC Scouting Reports: Missouri Tigers

Damon Hazelton NFL Draft Scouting Report | Wide Receiver

Positives: Nice-sized receiver whose game has leveled off the past two years. Tracks the pass in the air and displays a sense of timing as well as eye/hand coordination. Agile, adjusts to the errant throw, and extends to make the reception away from his frame. Uses the sidelines well and uses his frame to shield away defenders. Effective downfield blocker.

Negatives: Plays to one speed and lacks a burst. Lost focus and concentration and just looked awful at times in 2020.

Analysis: As a sophomore at Virginia Tech, Hazelton flashed big-time ability and a lot of next-level potential. He was a non-factor in 2019 before transferring to Missouri this season, where he flashed ability but lacked consistency. Hazelton possesses the underlying skill to make an NFL roster as a fifth receiver, but he can’t have the same lapses on Sundays that he showed last season.

Larry Borom NFL Draft Scouting Report | Offensive Line

Positives: Massive college tackle who is best in a small area. Keeps his feet moving, stays square, and shows explosiveness at the point. Works to bend his knees, correctly places his hands into defenders, and uses good body positioning to seal opponents from the action. Jolts opponents with tremendous hand punch. Strong and turns defenders from the line to open up running lanes.

Negatives: Show stiffness in his game and struggles to adjust. Lacks quick, fluid footwork off the edge.

Analysis: Borom is a size prospect who stands out as a run blocker, but has athletic and range limitations. He’s a power gap lineman who could back up as a strong-side blocker.

2021 NFL Draft | South Carolina Gamecocks

Collin Hill NFL Draft Scouting Report | Quarterback

Positives: Colorado State transfer who turned himself into an NFL prospect with a good campaign in 2020. Possesses NFL size and a live arm, and delivers passes with speed. Patient in the pocket, keeps his eyes downfield, and effectively commands the offense. Quickly gets the ball out of his hands, fires the pass into targets, and gets throws through the tight window. Keeps his eyes downfield rolling outside the pocket.

Negatives: Must do a better job setting up and delivering screen throws. Must learn to put touch on passes. Stares down the primary target.

Analysis: Hill possesses the physical skills to play at the next level, but he has an unpolished game and must improve his pass placement and delivery on throws. He comes with an upside and should get practice squad consideration in the fall at the very least.

2021 NFL Draft | Tennessee Volunteers

Aubrey Solomon NFL Draft Scouting Report | Defensive Line

Positives: Lanky defensive line prospect who moves well about the field. Explodes off the snap, plays with terrific pad level, and gives effort. Fights with his hands, shows fluidity, and gets down the line chasing the action. Consistently gets leverage on opponents.

Negatives: Easily turned from the line by a single opponent. Average pass rusher.

Analysis: Solomon possesses the size and growth potential for the next level. He never truly elevated his game at Tennessee and must start to live up to expectations.
