MSN Slideshow Seattle Seahawks 7-Round NFL Mock Draft By Pro Football Network FacebookTwitterReddItFlipLinkedinEmail January 24, 2025 | 8:00 PM EST Share FacebookTwitterReddItFlipLinkedinEmail 1 of 10 The Seattle Seahawks narrowly missed out on the playoffs this season. The management would like to make amends to get closer to the Vince Lombardi Trophy next season. Let's look at what PFN predicted in their most recent 7-round mock. There is no way that Mike Macdonald turns on the South Carolina tape and doesn’t see the number “14” when he squints really hard watching Emmanwori. The Madden create-a-player safety is built more like a modern WILL linebacker while possessing the fluidity of a true center fielder. The Gamecocks safety played mostly on the back end as a split-field safety to the boundary. His size, athleticism, and tackling ability are all impressive. However, what separates him is what made Kyle Hamilton so special. Emmanwori is incredibly quick-witted. That’s a necessary trait for NFL success at safety, and he’s automatic seeing the picture in front of him. Williams probably needed to go back to school and see more snaps. What early on looked like a “stonks” trajectory turned into a crypto crash late in the season. Williams lost form late, culminating in a difficult performance against Ohio State in the playoffs. However, the 330-pound right tackle has all the potential in the world, although there’s a chance that potential could be better suited for an interior starting or swing tackle role with Seattle immediately. Abraham Lucas is entering the final year of his rookie deal and has struggled to stay on the field during his time in Seattle. Chase Lundt can give the Seahawks the depth they need. Jamon Dumas-Johnson is a high-IQ linebacker who commands the defense pre-snap. He’s instinctive against the run, reading keys and shooting gaps with precision. Dumas-Johnson is physical at the point of attack and sheds blocks with quickness. In zone coverage, he reads quarterbacks to narrow throwing lanes. As a blitzer, Dumas-Johnson uses aggression and deception to disrupt protections. Bradyn Swinson is a dynamic edge rusher with exceptional first-step explosion. He uses his length and advanced hand techniques to maintain leverage and disengage blockers. Swinson’s high motor and relentless pursuit make him lethal on backside plays, while his versatility allows success from two- and three-point stances. At 6’5″, 306 pounds, Black is an absolute power plant. He has the explosiveness and length to violently form creases in the line, but he also has the lower body mass and strength to hold the fort at 0- and 1-tech. His versatility on the interior will bode well for him. Gavin Bartholomew is a tough blocker with NFL-ready technique. He is great at squaring up defenders, driving them out of gaps, and handling both smaller edge players and larger opponents. As a pass-catcher, Bartholomew has solid body control but lacks refined route-running, reliable hands, and burst. He’s smart in finding soft spots in coverage and fights for extra yards after the catch. Woodie Washington is an great defender with strong zone coverage skills. He is excellent at reading routes and anticipating throws. He possesses quick feet, fluid hips, and top-end speed to match receivers underneath and run downfield. Washington is effective in zone schemes. A willing and successful blitzer, he also shows potential for a move to safety with his range and reliable tackling. Montorie Foster Jr. led the Spartans with 43 receptions for 576 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 13.4 yards per catch in the 2023 season Foster's speed and ability to find openings in intermediate routes make him a reliable target.
