Seattle Seahawks 7-Round Mock Draft: Conner Weigman Sets a Succession Plan for Geno Smith

    Published on

This 2025 NFL Mock Draft follows the Seattle Seahawks as they fortify their offensive line at multiple spots, and add an intriguing quarterback.

In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the Seattle Seahawks spring ahead into Year 2 of Mike Macdonald’s tenure, using their early-round capital to bolster the offensive line and solidify a succession plan at quarterback.

What opportunities are present in the 2025 NFL Draft as it stands? And can the Seahawks fill the needs they aim to fill with the capital they have? This mock draft answers those questions.

Who Could the Seattle Seahawks Draft in 2025?

1.13) Seattle Seahawks: Jonah Savaiinaea, OT, Arizona

When he’s been healthy, Abraham Lucas has been a quality starter for the Seahawks at right tackle. But lately, health has been hard to come by. With his contract set to expire after the 2025 season, Seattle has to think about the future there.

In the 2025 NFL Draft, the Seahawks could choose to set the transition at RT in motion by selecting Jonah Savaiinaea. Savaiinaea has some cosmetic similarities to Taliese Fuaga with his frame density, athleticism, and hand power.

With more refinement, Savaiinaea can be an OT1 candidate. He’ll need to improve his hand precision at the apex, as well as clean up issues with over and under-setting. Nevertheless, Savaiinaea’s athleticism for his size is extraordinary, and his natural leveraging even more so.

2.45) Seattle Seahawks: Parker Brailsford, OC, Alabama

Center is one position that went relatively unaddressed for the Seahawks in the 2024 offseason. They can change that by adding Parker Brailsford in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Brailsford is undersized at 6’2″, 275 pounds, but he’s an elite athlete with terse physicality. His range is a central part of his profile in the run game, and he’s also shown he can use his natural leverage to his advantage in pass protection.

If you’re looking for a model to follow with Brailsford, look at Miami Dolphins and former Tennessee Titans center Aaron Brewer. Brewer is undersized, and yet, he’s carved out a career as a solid starter.

3.77) Seattle Seahawks: Conner Weigman, QB, Texas A&M

Sam Howell already serves as Geno Smith insurance, but his contract will expire in 2026. Conner Weigman gives the Seahawks a longer-term transition plan and has talent to mold.

At around 6’3″, 215 pounds, Weigman was a five-star recruit in the 2022 class, who played sparingly for the Aggies over the past two seasons.

In 2023, Weigman was intended to be the full-time starter for the entire year, but after a strong four-game stretch to kick off the season, he missed the rest of the campaign due to an injury.

Now Weigman is back, fully healthy, and he’s a wild card in the 2025 NFL Draft class. Aesthetically, he at times resembles a more mobile Jared Goff. He has the arm and the accuracy you’d expect with that comparison, but he’s unexpectedly nimble and capable off-platform.

    Rounds 4-7

    4.110) Seattle Seahawks
    Ricardo Hallman, CB, Wisconsin

    6.174) Seattle Seahawks
    Josaiah Stewart, EDGE, Michigan

    7.206) Seattle Seahawks
    Ashton Grable, OL, Florida A&M
