Seattle Seahawks 2025 7-Round Mock Draft: Deone Walker Unites with Mike Macdonald

In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the Seattle Seahawks nab a potential successor to Geno Smith at QB, and they add a unicorn on the defensive line.

As the Seattle Seahawks look to stay competitive in a tough NFC, this 2025 NFL Mock Draft explores the different value avenues that might be available to them next April.

Who Could the Seattle Seahawks Draft in the 2025 NFL Draft?

Note: The draft order for the 2025 NFL Mock Draft was derived from my record and playoff predictions for the 2024 NFL regular season.

1.18) Seattle Seahawks: Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky

This is more of an upside pick than anything because before Deone Walker has the functionality Mike Macdonald wants, he must drastically improve his pad level.

That said, there aren’t many raw talents that match Walker. He’s a supercharged athlete at 6’6″, 348 pounds, who can play from 1-tech to 7-tech. He has game-breaking potential.

2.50) Seattle Seahawks: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss

In the meantime, Geno Smith is the man in Seattle. But if the value is right, it can’t hurt the Seahawks to plan ahead at QB.

In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, getting Jaxson Dart — a natural throwing talent with mobility and zip — is a major win.

3.82) Seattle Seahawks: Luke Lachey, TE, Iowa

Provided that he can stay healthy, Luke Lachey can work up the seam, make tough catches, and serve as a blocking presence.

    Rounds 4-7

4.115) Davison Igbinosun, CB, Ohio State
6.179) Robert Scott Jr., OT, Florida State
    7.211) Javontez Spraggins, OG, Tennessee

Seahawks 2025 NFL Mock Draft Analysis

As my season prediction and draft order indicates, I like the Seahawks a bit more than the consensus across the industry. Ultimately, their interior offensive line may cause issues down the stretch, but they have the talent, coaching, and QB play to be in the playoff hunt.

More importantly, they have the components to start off on a strong note with head coach Mike Macdonald, and next offseason, they’ll be able to keep things flowing forward with the capital they have.

In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the Seahawks start out with unicorn defensive tackle Deone Walker, out of Kentucky.

In a nutshell, it’s simply fun to think about all the different ways Macdonald could use Walker alongside 2024 first-rounder Byron Murphy II. He’ll need to improve his pad level to play at nose tackle, but he’s a central force like no other.

In Round 2, Jaxson Dart is an excellent value deal. He comes at a cheap cost, with an even cheaper rookie contract. Dart is the QB3 on my preliminary 2025 NFL Draft board, and he could grow to become an NFL starter with time to sit behind Geno Smith.

In the middle and later rounds, Luke Lachey gives the Seahawks a solid two-phase TE.

Davison Igbinosun has the length, explosiveness, and aggression to fit as a CB3 alongside Devon Witherspoon and Tariq Woolen.

Rounding out the draft, Robert Scott Jr. is an experienced swing tackle, and Javontez Spraggins is a high-density, well-leveraged interior blocker who fits Seattle’s traditional mold.
