Saturday Night Football tonight is one of the more exciting of the NFL season. With a win-and-get-in situation between two AFC South teams, the stakes cannot be any higher. Who is playing, what time does the game start, how can you watch it, and what are the current odds?
Who Plays on Saturday Night Football Tonight?
Teams
Tennessee Titans (7-9) at Jacksonville Jaguars (8-8)
Location
TIAA Bank Field, Jacksonville, Florida
Saturday Night Football tonight will showcase the Tennesse Titans as they travel to Florida to try and win back the AFC South division title from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tennessee spent much of the year leading the division and, at one point, held an impressive 7-3 record. Then, the wheels fell off.
Quarterback Ryan Tannehill got injured ahead of a tough stretch of the schedule, and the team went on to lose six games in a row. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have gotten hot at exactly the right time. After a rocky start, Trevor Lawrence has found his groove and is starting to look like the “generational” talent many claimed he would be ahead of being drafted.
Now, the two teams will meet with the playoffs on the line. Tannehill will once again miss the game, and third-string QB Joshua Dobbs is slated to get the start. After missing last week with an injury, Derrick Henry will likely return to help provide some sort of offense for the Titans. And they will need it if they want to keep up with a red-hot Jacksonville offense.

The early betting lines opened with the Jaguars laying nearly a full touchdown (-6.5) at home against Dobbs and the Titans. That is a lot of points, but it isn’t surprising considering how these teams looked last week. Tennessee put up a bit of a fight against the Dallas Cowboys during the last Thursday Night Football game of the year but ultimately fell 27-13.
Jacksonville got back to their dominant ways by destroying the Houston Texans 31-3 on the road. Defeating Houston isn’t all that impressive considering their overall record, but the Texans have kept a few games close these past few weeks.
PFN’s Betting Director BJ Rudell broke this game down in his early Week 18 betting picks and predictions. Similar to many of us, he believes that this game will come down to what Henry can do on the ground.
“The biggest AFC South battle since Week 18 last season, when the 2-14 Jaguars upset the Colts, denying Indy a playoff berth.
This year’s Jags are much better, and this year’s Titans — a year after claiming the AFC’s No. 1 seed — are objectively worse. Even a healthy Ryan Tannehill probably wouldn’t be enough to end Tennessee’s free fall. Once again, it will be Derrick Henry or bust for a 7-9 team that was once 7-3.”
