    Super Bowl 59 Review

The Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 40-22. While much of the discussion will unquestionably be on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ poor performance, the Eagles were dominant from start to finish.

Barkley was not as efficient rushing the ball in the Super Bowl as he was most of the season, as it was clear that the Chiefs made it a focus to contain the 2,000-yard rusher. He only had 57 yards rushing on 25 carries, averaging only 2.3 yards per rush attempt. However, Barkley was effective as a receiver, as he had six receptions for 40 yards in the game.

Though Barkley still had a solid game, the Eagles were led by quarterback Jalen Hurts and their impressive defensive unit. Hurts had 221 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, 72 rushing yards, and one rushing touchdown in the big game. Meanwhile, the defensive unit had six sacks and two interceptions, one of which was returned by rookie Cooper DeJean for a touchdown.

After a long and difficult free agency and NFL season, it is clear that football fans are happy to see Barkley enjoy such a great moment with his daughter following his Super Bowl 59 win.
