Philadelphia Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley sent a strong message to his fans after his incredible Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Saquon Barkley Reveals He Had ‘Undercover Fans’ in Philadelphia While With New York Giants
After six seasons with the New York Giants, without playing any real meaningful football other than one postseason run, Barkley signed with the Eagles and had the season of a lifetime.
He didn’t just set the single-season record for rushing yards including playoff games, but Barkley also helped lead his team to a Super Bowl victory. Thanks to this stellar performance, he’s quickly become a fan-favorite in Philadelphia.
This is fairly ironic, considering Barkley played for Philly’s rival for the better half of a decade, and now he’s the most loved player on the Eagles. Even so, it’s hard to deny how incredible Barkley was all season, and it’s clear he played a vital role in Philadelphia’s Super Bowl victory.
Additionally, Barkley said that he had “undercover” fans in Philly while he was in New York, hinting that he never really felt like a rival. This is, of course, from his upbringing in Pennsylvania and going to Penn State.
“I always had kinda undercover fans from going to Penn State and playing high school ball here… It kinda was for me full circle coming back home,” said Barkley.
Sounds like Saquon never *really* felt like a rival in New York lol.

Barkley Expresses Challenges of Winning Championship
After the Super Bowl victory, Barkley commented on the Eagles potentially starting the next dynasty. While they did look like one of the best teams of all time in Super Bowl 59, to be considered a dynasty is an enormous accomplishment.
This isn’t to say it isn’t possible, but more so that it’s much easier said than done. Fortunately, Barkley also realized this and admitted he may have had too much to drink as he made the comment. In the same interview at his event at Raising Cane’s, Barkley revealed that he didn’t think it would take him eight years to win a Super Bowl.
He highlighted how difficult it was to just win one, and it seemed like he’s already found a greater appreciation for the Eagles’ Super Bowl win. On “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” Barkley said he wants to be remembered as an Eagle. If he continues to deliver in Philadelphia as he has all year long, he will undoubtedly wind up as one of the city’s all-time greats.
