Former NFL QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has his alarm bells out as the Dallas Cowboys are in crisis mode. From quarterback Dak Prescott to owner Jerry Jones, nothing is going right for them. Following back-to-back losses, including an embarrassing 27-21 defeat to the Atlanta Falcons, the Cowboys are a disappointing 3-5.
The Cowboys’ season is slipping away like dew drops on a leaf, and Fitzpatrick didn’t hold back, saying bluntly on the “Fitz & Whit” podcast – “They kinda suck right now.”
Ryan Fitzpatrick Catches Dak Prescott’s Words During Cowboys Game
The Cowboys’ issues are glaring. Franchise QB Prescott, who threw for just 133 yards against the Falcons before exiting in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury, has struggled to find consistency this season.
Head coach Mike McCarthy’s offense looks one-dimensional. It relies heavily on CeeDee Lamb while the running game and other receivers have all but vanished. Even team owner Jones seems fed up, publicly criticizing the squad’s dismal performances.

Week 7’s 47-9 collapse against the Detroit Lions set the tone for Dallas’ downward spiral. The offense sputtered, the defense couldn’t keep pace, and turnovers became the story of the night. As frustrations mount, Prescott’s own sideline conversations become the talk of the town.
Fitzpatrick was with Andrew Whitworth on the “Fitz & Whit” podcast, discussing Prescott and his conversation with a fellow teammate.
“They got him on camera. I’m not a great lip reader but I think he said, ‘We f**king suck.’ When we had them in our game, I was trying to say that about them,” Fitzpatrick said. “It’s going to be a tough, long year for Dallas. It doesn’t matter that they have Dak and CeeDee. Jake Ferguson was a bigger part of it. They kinda suck right now.”

The Cowboys’ road ahead is marred by a brutal schedule. Next, they face the Philadelphia Eagles, followed by matchups with the Houston Texans, division-leading Washington Commanders, and New York Giants. McCarthy and his team could be sliding to 3-7 by Thanksgiving — what’s Fitzpatrick’s advice? It’s time for a players-only meeting.
Their season hangs in the balance. Dallas desperately needs to regroup if they hope to salvage their playoff aspirations. The once-promising season for the Cowboys looks on the verge of disaster.
