Despite his recent string of criticisms — plus rumors of his tenure with the Denver Broncos coming to an end — Russell Wilson still has lofty goals he wants to hit.
And the goal he shared that sprouted across the internet on Sunday sparked lots of online reactions.
Russell Wilson Ridiculed for Sharing Goal of Winning Multiple Super Bowls
Wilson hasn’t won the Super Bowl since the 2013 season — his second in the league.
Yet, since the Seahawks traded him to the Broncos before the 2022 season, Wilson has seen a decline in his play and an increase in harsh critique by fans. He has not taken Denver to the playoffs while also being coached by two different head coaches in both seasons with the Broncos.
Wilson may have posted back-to-back 3,000-yard seasons, but he hasn’t surpassed 3,525 yards and has produced two sub-.500 seasons as Denver’s starter (11-19 overall).
Through it all, Wilson still believes he’s capable of being a title-winning passer and shared his vision with former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall.
“I’ve got more fire now than ever, and for me, it’s all about winning. I just want to win,” Wilson began in his interview on “I Am Athlete.”
Then came the goal he laid out in front of the former Pro Bowl receiver.
“Over the next five years, I want to win two,” Wilson said regarding how many titles he wants to win.

It’s quite the confidence coming from a passer who’s not only turning 36 during the 2024 season but is facing a possible departure from the Broncos. Wilson holds a cap number of $35.4 million for 2024, leaving many analysts believing Denver will attempt to trade or cut him during the offseason.
But his two Super Bowl-winning goal caused a bewildered social media audience.
Notable Reactions for Wilson’s “2 Super Bowl Title” Goal
There are fans who believe that Wilson’s days of being a franchise QB are behind him.
One fan believed that Wilson does not qualify as a backup QB moving forward. Another fan shared this strong message to Wilson:
“Then restructure your contract.”
Another fan, however, questioned Wilson’s desire to win with the Broncos.
“If you want to win why did you play like you didn’t want to?” the fan asked.
One more fan suggested Wilson should instead sign with the rival Kansas City Chiefs; that way, he can win multiple Super Bowls while being behind Patrick Mahomes.
Lastly, the Broncos have fans who believe that Wilson’s goal of winning multiple titles won’t happen in Denver.
