Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III’s comments about the Buffalo Bills apparently did not go over well with Bills Mafia. Griffin now says that he has received death threats and racist remarks from Bills fans.
What Did Robert Griffin III Say About the Bills?
Griffin got in trouble when he blamed Bills QB Josh Allen on X for Buffalo’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. Griffin tried to explain his logic on what Allen and the Bills could have done differently in that game.
“Being on the road, using silent count, having to time up the motion and what Josh was taught to do in this moment in protection meetings during the week, all contribute to why the adjustment wasn’t made and why playing QB is the hardest job in all of sports.
“But to say it couldn’t be picked up when the defense brings a 5 man pressure and you have 5 blockers is simply inaccurate. Offensive Guard O’ Cyrus Torrence said the Chiefs showed that pressure all game and bailed from it and that’s why they slid the protection to the left.
“Only the QB in that moment could have over ruled that decision. It’s not easy to do. It’s not easy to see in the moment. But in life you have to choose your hard. Josh Allen and the Bills chose the route of not sliding the protection away from the hot throw and getting tricked in the biggest moment of the game.
“They should have chosen the hard of sliding the protection so Josh had a clear read on throwing hot if the DE to the field rushed or going through his full progression and picking up the pressure if he didn’t.”
Here is a breakdown of exactly how Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills could have picked up the pressure Spags dialed up on 4th and 5 that ended their season.
Nothing about playing QB is easy.
I respect Josh Allen and love his game. He is a special player and Buffalo is lucky to… pic.twitter.com/mZeDIJjn9P

The issue that Bills fans seem to have is that Griffin wasn’t this hard on Lamar Jackson when the Baltimore Ravens lost to Buffalo the week prior. In that game, Jackson had several turnovers while Allen played almost flawlessly.
But although he allegedly received death threats and racist comments, Griffin seems to have taken it in stride.
Hurt people hurt people.
I get it #Billsmafia
You lost to the Chiefs again.
It hurts.
I’m doing my job and analyzing the game.
Just like I did for the Eagles, Commanders, Ravens, Lions, Texans and other playoff teams and QBs.
I love Josh Allen’s game and don’t think it’s…

Griffin has gotten into controversies before. Most recently, he was accused of trying to pit Derrick Henry and Jackson against each other, for which he was called out by Henry on X, so this is not new to him.
