The Renegades have lost by four points in the last two weeks. While QB Luis Perez and the offense have been on fire, the defense has been Swiss cheese.

Despite efforts to revamp and improve the unit in the offseason, Arlington’s defense ranks last in multiple categories. While Perez and the offense are scoring points, the defense is allowing opponents to match them just as quickly.
Meanwhile, the Roughnecks offense has not played well this season but could have a turnaround in Week 4. 2023 USFL Offensive Player of the Year RB Mark Thompson is set to return from a knee sprain and could be the spark Houston needs. If the offense can’t get momentum, Houston’s low coverage grades on defense will be an issue against Perez.
