Reggie Bush and FOX Sports are parting ways. The former Heisman Trophy-winning running back, who is currently embarking on a lawsuit to sue the NCAA, couldn’t agree on the money with FOX and will leave the network coverage team.
Reportedly, FOX had extended Bush’s contract, but behind the scenes, they were considering potential replacements such as Robert Griffin III and Desmond Howard. Reportedly, neither received an official offer from FOX, and since that time, RG3 has signed on with ESPN as an analyst for Monday Night Football with Scott Van Pelt.
Where Will Reggie Bush Go Now?
Hard to tell. Bush has previously made several appearances on FS1 shows, but with his role on FOX in the rearview mirror, it is fair to wonder if he will return to any FS1 programming.

With ESPN making their cuts in 2023, it’s hard to see Bush winding up there. He is embroiled in a legal battle with the NCAA, as he is suing for the return of his Heisman Trophy and complete reinstatement.
Who Will Replace Bush on FOX?
Out with one Heisman Trophy-winning RB, in with another. Mark Ingram is replacing Bush on FOX. Ingram recently expressed optimism regarding his NFL playing career, stating he has not retired. While he may not be done with the NFL, at least for now, it appears the NFL is done with him as he has garnered no interest around the league.

Ingram has always had a charismatic personality, so he should draw a following and sustain ratings, but how good he is as an analyst is unknown. Ingram brings a wealth of playing experience from his days as a collegiate star at Alabama to a two-headed monster during his New Orleans career with Alvin Kamara.
Can FOX Catch ESPN?
Anchored by Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit for many years, ESPN GameDay is a legendary pre-game show. Many have imitated but have never duplicated their consistency and success.

“Big Noon Kickoff” on FOX is a stellar program, but it still doesn’t hold a candle to ESPN GameDay.
Similar to how FS1 has thrown several analysts into the fray during their morning show “Undisputed,” FOX has thrown several names into the mix for Big Noon Kickoff to mixed results. Viewers don’t appear swayed by strength in numbers but prefer quality over quantity.
Perhaps Ingram can turn the Tide.
