Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have done it again. They defeated the Buffalo Bills 32-29 in the AFC Championship Game and have now made the Super Bowl in five of the last six seasons.
Josh Allen is now 0-4 against the Chiefs in the postseason and once again fell short of making his first Super Bowl appearance. The Bills defeated the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Round, and one of the stars on the Ravens team didn’t hesitate in taking shots at Buffalo after the AFC East team’s loss to Kansas City.
Marlon Humphrey Takes Shots at Bills Following AFC Championship Game
Marlon Humphrey threw shade at the Bills team via a post on X (formerly known as Twitter.) The Ravens’ star cornerback brought up the fact that one anonymous Bills player mentioned that the nine pro bowlers on Baltimore’s team can now feature in the Pro Bowl as they lost in the Divisional Round.
Humphrey mentioned how now both the players on the Bills and the Ravens will go to the Pro Bowl together, and then can enjoy their vacation in Cancun.
after the pro bowl maybe we can all go enjoy Cancun❤️ https://t.co/xewsrWgUOU

It was a funny way of taking a dig at the Bills, as Humphrey knows how it feels to lose in the AFC Championship Game to the Chiefs. The Ravens lost last year, the Cincinnati Bengals did the year before, and now it was the turn of the Bills. Hopefully, the players on these three teams will be able to forget sour memories from what happened this past season and put on a show in the Pro Bowl.
Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow are among the best quarterbacks in the league, but due to Patrick Mahomes, they haven’t been able to win a Super Bowl yet. No matter what their teams do or how bad the Chiefs play in the regular season, Kansas City is always seemingly able to come through and represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
Patrick Mahomes Proved Why He Is the Best QB in NFL
The Chiefs went 15-2 in the regular season and had the joint-best record in the NFL. Mahomes was not only absent from the MVP candidate list, but he wasn’t even selected for the Pro Bowl. However, the Chiefs’ superstar proved that when the stakes are high and the lights are the brightest, he is the best quarterback and the most valuable player in the league.
Allen and Jackson are among the MVP finalists this season, but none of them will play in the Super Bowl. Ultimately, Mahomes is the best player in the league, and like Tom Brady, the individual awards will not determine his actual value.
The 29-year-old quarterback is 4-0 against Allen and the Bills in the playoffs. In those four games, he has thrown for 1,163 yards, nine touchdowns, and no interceptions, completing 74% of his throws with a passer rating of 123.7.
Mahomes made big plays with his legs in the 32-29 win against the Bills, as he rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. The Chiefs quarterback outplayed Allen at one of his strengths, and it shows how Mahomes can adapt to the situation and just win games.
Allen is still 28 years old and the No. 3-ranked QB per PFN’s QB+ metric, so the Bills will continue to have opportunities to win the Super Bowl. It will be interesting to see what they do in the offseason, as the Chiefs have gotten the better of them regardless of what type of team they put on the field or what their game plan is.
This season was not a disappointment for the Bills, but their inability to beat Kansas City in the playoffs is a huge concern.
