Ravens vs. Chargers Best Touchdown Scorer Bets: Gus Edwards, Zay Flowers, and Two Long-Shot Picks

Our favorite Ravens vs. Chargers touchdown scorer bets include two familiar names as well as two long-shot bets.

The Baltimore Ravens vs. Los Angeles Chargers game has a high total for a prime-time game when you consider the success of unders in these spots this season, so the oddsmakers are certainly expecting points to be scored. But with Mark Andrews out for Baltimore, which Ravens players will step up in the red zone? Let’s check out our favorite Ravens vs. Chargers touchdown scorer bets.

Ravens vs. Chargers Touchdown Scorer Bets

Gus Edwards (+120 at ESPN BET)

Blewis: Gus Edwards has 10 rushing TDs for the season, and the Ravens lost their other best weapon in the red zone, so this number feels like way too much value.

For the season, Edwards leads all running backs with TDs inside the 5-yard line this season, beating out even Christian McCaffrey and Jalen Hurts. The fact that this is at plus money is really surprising, especially when Edwards has gotten in the end zone in five straight games. I would even sprinkle on Edwards to score 2+ TDs.

    Zay Flowers (+185 at DraftKings)

Katz: Lamar Jackson will have to find a new top target with Mark Andrews out. There are those out there who believe Isaiah Likely will step up. I am not one of those people. Instead, I think Jackson will lean more on Zay Flowers.

The Ravens have been scoring an inordinate amount of their touchdowns on the ground, specifically with Edwards. Eventually, regression has to hit. At +185, I like the odds of Flowers finding the end zone for just the second time all season against the Chargers.

    Isaiah Likely (+330 at FanDuel)

Soppe: The backup TE has scored in three of his five career games with at least five targets, a role I expect him to fill with Mark Andrews sidelined. This isn’t a bad spot to welcome in an expanded role — the Chargers are the third-worst per pass defense in the league and give up the sixth-most red-zone trips per game.

With no Raven receiver establishing himself as an elite target earner through 11 weeks, Likely has a path to strong usage in an offense we trust.

    Charlie Kolar (+1400 at FanDuel)

Katz: This is obviously meant to be just for a sprinkle. Don’t go crazy on this big of a long shot. I just think the odds here are better than +1400.

With Mark Andrews out, the Ravens are going to have just two tight ends this week. Isaiah Likely will be the TE1, but he’s not going to play every snap. Plus, the Ravens run a fair amount of two-tight end sets. Charlie Kolar has as good of a shot as anyone to score on a pass play when the Ravens get inside the five. I’ll throw a dart at this for a small wager.
