Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice had a hilarious outfit choice when he showed up to work out with Patrick Mahomes and Hollywood Brown.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice decided to pay tribute to a recent viral photo of his QB Patrick Mahomes.

Rashee Rice Wears Patrick Mahomes ‘Dad Bod Shirt’

Mahomes made a post on Instagram on Wednesday that featured photos of himself, Rice, and Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. Rice was proudly showing off his new shirt.

The joke started back in January after the Chiefs’ win over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game. After the 17-10 victory, the NFL posted a video showing head coach Andy Reid and Mahomes addressing the team.

However, instead of what was said, people focused on a specific angle of Mahomes.

The jokes got back around to Mahomes who later posted, “Yoooo why they have to do me like that!?!?!?” followed by several laughing emojis and #DadBodSZN.

The photo went viral, and Rice took the opportunity to pay tribute to that viral photo of his quarterback. So, he showed up to work out with Mahomes this offseason alongside new wide receiver Brown wearing a shirt with that photo on it.

The stunt shows the solid relationship Rice and Mahomes have, and both had a phenomenal 2023 season.

Kansas City named Mahomes its team MVP and Rice its Rookie of the Year. Awards were voted on by Chiefs players, highlighting just how important the team feels these two are.

Mahomes, a two-time NFL MVP, threw for 4,183 yards and 27 touchdowns during the regular season, although he also posted the highest interception percentage of his career as a full-time starter and had his lowest passer rating. Despite that, he rebounded in a major way in time for the playoffs. In four postseason outings, Mahomes accounted for 1,192 yards and six touchdowns en route to a Super Bowl victory.

Rice brought in 79 passes for 938 yards and seven touchdowns in the regular season. During the playoffs, Rice had 26 receptions for 262 yards and another score. He emerged as a trusted receiving threat for Mahomes in year one and will remain a critical piece of the receiver room entering the offseason.

This offseason, the Chiefs got Mahomes a suitable WR2, signing Brown to a one-year deal.

Signing Brown gives the Chiefs a deep threat they haven’t had since Tyreek Hill left. Rice is the team’s primary yards-after-the-catch receiver, with Travis Kelce being the move-the-chains player.

Brown started his career with the Baltimore Ravens after being taken in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons there, having his only 1,000-yard season in his last year with the team.

Afterward, he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals, where he spent the last two seasons.

In his career, Brown has caught 313 passes for 3,644 yards and 28 touchdowns. Most recently, he played 14 games in 2023, catching 51 receptions on 101 targets for 574 yards and four touchdowns.

As shown in the photo posted to his Instagram on Wednesday, Mahomes appears to have a good relationship with his top two receivers.
