Shedeur Sanders is among the most talked about players in the football world currently, especially with the 2025 NFL Draft just a couple of months away.
While there is great debate about where Sanders should be drafted — both in terms of talent and fit — many analysts think he could be among the top picks this year.
Many NFL analysts project players like Travis Hunter and Cam Ward as the No. 1 overall pick; however, rapper Gillie Da Kid thinks otherwise.

Gillie Da Kid Endorses Shedeur Sanders as the No. 1 NFL Draft Pick
While many expect Sanders to go high in the 2025 NFL Draft, however, not many project him to be the No. 1 overall pick.
Gillie Da Kid, who is a popular rapper, shared that he wants Sanders to go as the No. 1 overall pick to the Tennessee Titans.
"I would want to see @ShedeurSanders go to the Titans. No. 1 overall. … This kid has been through a lot more than every other kid in the draft. He always had to live up to being Deion Sanders son. “I would want to see Shedeur go to the Titans. No. 1 overall, no noise. … If I’m a GM, and I’m drafting the quarterback, I gotta say to myself, ‘This kid’s been through a lot more than every other kid in the draft because he always had to live up to being Deion Sanders’ son, so he always had the spotlight on him and all he did was produce.'”
Gillie Da Kid concluded by saying that Sanders won two state championships at high school and had a successful college career, during which he took Colorado from nothing to attractiveness, which brought in talent like Class of 2025 recruit Julian Lewis.
“When he went to Jackson State, they said he was at a black college [HBCU]. Then he went to the worst FBS school in college football, which was Colorado at the time. It was the worst FBS school in football, Division I football, and two years later they’re ranked in the top 25.”
The popular rapper also credited Deion Sanders, the coaches, Travis Hunter, and Coach Prime’s treatment of players with making Colorado relevant.
“That shows you that he won in high school, [two] state championships. He went to college. They said, ‘Oh, he’s at a black school. He couldn’t do that if he was here.’ Then he went to a school that wasn’t that good and took them to greatness, took them to something to wear, as though, now it’s an attraction that you actually want to go to Colorado because they got Julian [Lewis] now.
“And that’s a product of Coach Prime, his coaches, Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, and the way that Coach Prime treats his players.”
The 2025 NFL Draft starts on April 24 until April 26 in Green Bay, Wisc.
