Ranking the Miami Dolphins’ Current Interior Linemen

The Miami Dolphins' offensive line remains a concern, but not nearly as big of one as it was a month ago. Here's our guess at who will play where.

The Miami Dolphins‘ offensive line, while still a work in progress, looks a lot better now than it did a month ago.

In the last three weeks, Chris Grier and Mike McDaniel brought back a number of their own free agents (or in the case of Terron Armstead, a veteran considering retirement), and signed two away from other teams.

The tackle position has clarity — Armstead at left, Austin Jackson at right. But the starting three interior spots are as clear as mud.

Miami Dolphins’ 2024 Guards and Centers

Even the one slam-dunk to have a starting job (Aaron Brewer) is uncertain of where he will line up.

He can play all three spots. And while the smart money is on Brewer being Miami’s Week 1 center, that could still change depending on who the Dolphins take in the first round.

There’s always the possibility that Connor Williams, still rehabbing from significant knee surgery and unsure of his future, elects to play in 2024 and plays for the Dolphins.

With all that being said, here’s our ranking of the seven interior linemen currently on the Dolphins’ roster.

    Aaron Brewer

    • Age: 26
    • Season: Fifth
    • 2023 Stats: 17 games, 17 starts, 1,050 offensive snaps, three penalties (three holding), six sacks allowed
    • Likely 2024 Role: Starting center
    • He Said It: “I feel like [center] was always my destined position, just for me being more of an undersized offensive lineman. I’m not one of the big 320, 310, 300-pound offensive lineman. You don’t really see too many of the undersized offensive linemen being at guard. I just feel like me being undersized, it was basically predetermined for me to be at center.”

    Robert Jones

    • Age: 25
    • Season: Fourth
    • 2023 Stats: Eight games, five starts (three at right guard, two at left guard), 418 offensive snaps, four penalties (one holding), two sacks allowed
    • Likely 2024 Role: Compete for starting right and left guard spots

    Isaiah Wynn

    • Age: 28
    • Season: Sixth
    • 2023 Stats: Seven games, seven starts (all at left guard), 392 snaps, three penalties (zero holding), zero sacks allowed
    • Likely 2024 Role: Compete for starting left guard spot

    Jack Driscoll

    • Age: 26
    • Season: Fourth
    • 2023 Stats: 17 games, one start, 172 offensive snaps, zero penalties, one sack allowed
    • Likely 2024 Role: No. 6 offensive lineman
    • He Said It: “Eight guys are dressed, and five are starting. So if you do the math there, some guys have to play multiple positions. I’ve always took that upon myself as the more positions I could play, the better chance I have to play on game day, and the better chance I have of making the team and playing an important role.”

    Liam Eichenberg

    • Age: 26
    • Season: Fourth
    • 2023 Stats: 16 games, 12 starts (eight at center, three at right guard, one at left guard), 815 snaps, five penalties (one holding), four sacks allowed
    • Likely 2024 Role: No. 7 offensive lineman

    Lester Cotton

    • Age: 28
    • Season: Fifth
    • 2023 Stats: 17 games, eight starts (seven at left guard, one at right guard), 616 snaps, four penalties (two holding), three sacks allowed
    • Likely 2024 Role: Roster bubble
