Los Angeles’ passing game vs. Baltimore’s secondary
Los Angeles features one of the best passing attacks in the NFL. They rank sixth in the league in passing yards and second in passing touchdowns per game. The Rams also rank as an above-average team in passing play percentage this season.
Baltimore’s allowing a league-high 280.5 passing yards per game as they continue to deal with injuries to their secondary. The Ravens also rank in the bottom five of the NFL in passing touchdowns allowed per game.
[bet-bonus id=”164810″ ]The Ravens have struggled in recent games as well. Last week, Joe Burrow threw for 525 yards and 4 touchdowns without any interceptions on them.
Baltimore has lost four consecutive games, and their struggling pass defense has been a major part of that.
Rams vs. Ravens betting trends
The Rams have found some success against the spread (ATS) throughout the 2021 season.
They own an 8-7 ATS record thus far. Los Angeles has also posted a 4-4 road ATS record this season.
The Ravens haven’t been quite as successful, recording a 7-8 ATS record through 15 games. They’re failing to cover by an average of 1.8 points per game. Baltimore’s been slightly better at home, where they own a 4-2 ATS record this season.
Both of these teams have found the over more often than not in 2021. The Rams have hit it in 57.1% of their games, while the Ravens have found the over in 53.3% of their contests.
Rams vs. Ravens prediction
This is an extremely important game in terms of playoff seeding. The Rams are focused on winning the NFC West while the Ravens are playing for the AFC North or a Wild Card spot. The latter could be eliminated from the playoffs if they lose this game, while the Rams are already locked into a playoff spot.
Even with so much on the line, it’s tough to project the Ravens’ secondary slowing down one of the best passing attacks in the NFL. Initially, my thought was the Rams, but there’s too much on the line for the Ravens in this one. I believe they’re a live dog, although I still slightly favor Los Angeles with a significantly better roster.
Rams vs. Ravens Prediction: Rams 24, Ravens 21
