The Rams’ season has been an absolute disaster compared to everyone’s expectations going into the year. Injuries have been a major part of that, yes, but they currently have just a 4-9 record only one year after winning the Super Bowl.
However, last week was a bit of a bright spot for the Rams, as they managed to make an incredible late-game comeback with a QB who didn’t even know he was going to be wearing their uniform on Tuesday morning.
Baker Mayfield, fresh off of the plane bringing him to LA, managed to bring the Rams’ offense down the field to cap off a game-winning touchdown with just :09 left on the clock. Given the entire surrounding context, it was an incredible performance from the now veteran QB, and it could potentially give this team a breath of fresh life down the stretch.
With that being said, it’s still probably smart to err on the side of caution with projecting this Rams offense in Week 15 against the Packers. Green Bay’s defense is loaded with a lot more talent than Las Vegas, and they could easily win the turnover battle here on Monday night.
Yet, the key to winning this game for LA rests on their run game and continuing to try to find a spark in that facet of the game. The Packers are allowing 154.8 rushing yards per game this season, which is the third most in the NFL, and the Rams could find some success in this department.

It’ll be easier said than done with the state of the Rams’ offensive line, but the opportunity is there.
For Green Bay, they’re coming off of a much-needed bye week that gave their starting quarterback time to rest up and heal. Aaron Rodgers is playing through injury down the stretch as he tries to right the ship on a season that hasn’t exactly gone the way that he — and Packers fans alike — anticipated.
The Packers are just 5-8 on the season and they’ll need to win every game from this point forward in order to have a chance of reaching the NFC playoffs. The offense has started to find some signs of life here in recent weeks, though, with Christian Watson breaking out in a major way and the run game finding some success on the back of AJ Dillon.
If Green Bay is going to win this matchup against the Rams, they’ll need to show signs of improvement in their run defense coming out of the bye. The Packers remain one of the worst teams in the league in defending the run, and LA could exploit that this week if they’re not careful.
