Rams vs. Lions DFS Picks: Top Options Include Kyren Williams, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Jared Goff

    Published on

In search of some NFL DFS picks for Super Wild Card Weekend? Look no further -- here are the best plays for the Rams vs. Lions tilt.

Fate can have a pretty funny sense of humor sometimes. After three full regular seasons have concluded since the blockbuster trade involving QBs Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff, the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams will be squaring off at Ford Field with a trip to the NFC Divisional Round at stake.

Another great storyline to be aware of heading into the NFL postseason is that it isn’t too late to still get some wins to start the 2024 calendar year over on DraftKings. Let’s take a closer at my DFS picks heading into the matchup between the Rams and Lions.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Detroit Lions Top DFS Picks on DraftKings

Kyren Williams, RB, Los Angeles Rams ($15,300) – Captain

There is certainly not a shortage of quality options for the captain spot, but Rams RB Kyren Williams has been exceptional since he returned to the starting lineup from injured reserve (IR).

Since returning to the starting lineup back in Week 12, Williams has produced over 100+ total yards in six straight games.

During that same stretch, Williams found pay dirt on eight occasions, which has made him a dominant force in fantasy football leagues.

When you consider Williams is playing indoors against a defense that has given up a healthy amount of points on numerous occasions throughout the back half of the season, then Williams needs to find a way into your DFS lineup for this showdown format.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Detroit Lions ($11,000)

The Lions’ passing game has run through WR Amon-Ra St. Brown in 2023, which is evidenced by his 164 targets this season. Well, Detroit may have to lean on him even more against the Rams on Sunday, with TE Sam LaPorta dealing with an injury.

That bodes very well for a player who has 6+ receptions, 90+ receiving yards, and a touchdown in four straight games. St. Brown may be a chalky play, but he will anchor your DFS team, which makes him a necessary part of your roster construction.

Jared Goff, QB, Detroit Lions ($9,400)

When the Lions play at Ford Field, you generally want to make sure that Goff is in your fantasy lineup.

He has thrown for 19 touchdown passes over Detroit’s eight home games this year, which definitely suggests he is a more productive passer when playing in front of his home crowd in 2023.

If the Lions get into a shootout with Stafford and the Rams, then Goff feels like a great play for this slate.

David Montgomery, RB, Detroit Lions ($6,800)

A vast majority of fantasy managers are big fans of rookie RB Jahmyr Gibbs and his dynamic playmaking ability, but RB David Montgomery is still a reliable fantasy contributor at a very reasonable price for this slate.

Montgomery has seen 10+ carries and scored a rushing touchdown in his last three games heading into this matchup, which makes him an underrated option for this showdown format.

Brock Wright, TE, Detroit Lions ($2,000)

As previously mentioned, LaPorta is dealing with an injury heading into this contest and may not be able to take the field to make his postseason debut this Sunday.

If LaPorta is ruled out, then Brock Wright would be the first player in line to see an expanded role at the TE position. Wright doesn’t have a history of gaudy numbers to suggest he has a very high fantasy ceiling, but his expanded role in a potentially high-scoring contest could still provide plenty of fantasy value at this price point.

Demarcus Robinson, WR, Los Angeles Rams ($4,800)

To say Demarcus Robinson finished the season on a high note would be a big understatement. From Weeks 13 to 17, Robinson was the WR12 in full-PPR formats with 21 receptions for 319 yards and four scores.

Sure, his overall target share hasn’t been super high over that entire stretch, but he still managed to finish the season with 6+ and 80+ receiving yards in his last bit of work in meaningful games to finish out 2023.

Robinson is certainly worth a spot in your lineup with his recent play and reasonable price point.
