Raiders Superstar Maxx Crosby Breaks Silence On Chiefs Trade Rumors, Sends Candid Message About His Future

Las Vegas defensive end Maxx Crosby is very honest about what he wants to achieve as an NFL player, and it might not happen with the Raiders.

Winning a Super Bowl is the ultimate goal for NFL players during their careers. Sometimes, elite players get stuck on franchises that aren’t good, and just making the playoffs is a long shot, let alone contending for a Super Bowl.

Only two teams have a chance to compete for a title each year, and that is what the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are battling for this week.

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby is making it clear that one of his goals is to win the Super Bowl. He does not feel bad about wanting to win a title, even if that means not achieving that goal with his current team.

Maxx Crosby Wants to Be a Super Bowl Champ and Hall of Famer

Crosby joined “Up & Adams” with Kay Adams during Super Bowl week. The two discussed his future with the Raiders and his ultimate goals as a player.

Crosby was not fully committed to saying he wanted to be a Raider for life, but he wanted to be with a winning team. That team could be his current club in Las Vegas or somewhere else if the team doesn’t start trending in the right direction.

“I am taking it one step at a time,” Crosby said. “There is the contract thing that has to be hashed out. There is also, ‘What is the plan?’ I have had the opportunity to sit with ownership, head coach, and general manager.

“I do believe in what we are doing so far. I just want to continue to take it one step at a time.”

Crosby is very interested in the Raiders’ current plan and likes what is happening within the organization so far.

Las Vegas just hired Pete Carroll this offseason to lead this team. When Carroll was the Seattle Seahawks head coach, he led them to a pair of Super Bowl appearances and won the championship in 2012.

Having a coach who has been to the top of the NFL mountain should go a long way with what Crosby’s personal goals are. His goals are clear, and if things do not change quickly in his favor, he may or may not be with the Raiders.

“I only have one body,” Crosby said. “I can only play for so long, and the way I play is with reckless abandon. I am not going to play forever, and I want an opportunity to win.”

Crosby said he has two clear career achievements in mind: being a Super Bowl champion and a Hall of Famer.

Would Crosby Join the Chiefs for a Title?

One thing that Crosby made clear in his interview with Adams is that there is one team he does not want to join to chase a title.

Specifically, he does not want to go to the Chiefs to be able to win a Super Bowl.

This could mean a few things, one of which might just be that the Chiefs are a big rival in the AFC West to the Raiders.

Or perhaps Crosby doesn’t want to join an elite team that is ready to win a championship.

“I don’t wanna join the damn Chiefs and get a Super Bowl. That would mean absolutely nothing to me,” Crosby said. “I want to be part of winning and a culture that is about winning, and that is all that matters to me.”
