‘Tom Brady Era of Control Begins’ – Raiders Fans Suspect That the GOAT Is Behind Las Vegas Firing GM Tom Telesco, HC Antonio Pierce

    Published on

Raiders fans speculated on the influence and impact Tom Brady has on the franchise amid the Thursday report that GM Tom Telesco was fired.

The Tom Brady era with the Las Vegas Raiders kicked off Thursday with a boom as the Raiders fired general manager Tom Telesco just days after firing head coach Antonio Pierce.

Raider fans suspect both firings came because of Tom Brady, who is now one of the minority owners.

Raiders Fans Talk About Tom Brady’s Potential Influence With Las Vegas

Pierce’s firing wasn’t a surprise as many thought that he would be released at the end of the season. The Telesco firing, however, came as a shock as many thought his job was safe.

When asked by a fan, NFL insider Albert Breer gave a little insight on Brady’s influence with the Raiders via SI.com.

“Honestly, I think he already has had an impact, as someone capable of drawing candidates and flipping perception of the franchise. I don’t think Tom Brady’s going to put his name on something he can’t be proud of, and I know the idea has quietly been relayed to people that the ‘new’ Raiders are going to tear down some old perceptions about the team,” he said.

Another person who may have had a voice in this decision is Richard Seymour, who also is a minority owner.

Amy Trask of CBS Sports added her two cents as to why she thinks Seymour will also be involved in future decisions with the team.

“I know him to be wise, intelligent, and thoughtful in every sense of the word I think they should take input from Richard, as well as from Tom,” she said.

But it’s clear, who has the larger influence here — it’s Brady.

Raiders Fans Mixed on the Firing of Telesco

Raider fans are not exactly sure about how they should feel about this whole situation and they express that on social media.

Some think the move was made to bring in Deion and Shedeur Sanders, who has a strong relationship with Brady.

“Deion Sanders looking at the Raiders job,” one fan quipped.

“Raiders cleaning house for Prime and Shedeur?” one user asked.

“It is the Brady show now…,” one fan alluded to Brady’s potential role in the decisions.

“Damn they did him dirty too,” one fan said.

Despite some fan misgivings, it seems as if a lot of Raiders fans approve of the move, especially if Brady is truly behind it — because many feel that he is about to make this team better.

The question remains, however, how much Brady will be involved in the day-to-day operation of the team with his broadcast career underway. Will he eventually give up the gig and be more involved on the ownership side, or will he stay mostly in the shadows?
