It’s always a challenge to navigate through injuries in fantasy football. The Miami Dolphins have several players dealing with issues. The time to set Week 15 lineups is near. What are the latest injury updates on Raheem Mostert, De’Von Achane, and Tyreek Hill?
Latest News and Injury Updates Impacting Fantasy
Raheem Mostert, RB, Miami Dolphins
Analysis last updated Friday, Dec. 15 at 4:25 p.m. ET.
Editor’s note: Mostert was cleared from the injury report Friday and will play Sunday.
The oft-injured Mostert has managed to play every game this season. However, he has appeared on the injury report.
On Wednesday, Mostert did not practice. But that’s been the routine for several weeks now.
Wednesday practices are especially meaningless this late in the season. If you look around the NFL at every team’s practice report, you will see that dozens of players who played last week did not practice on Wednesday. Some may be legitimately injured, but I would imagine most of them end up playing this week.
As one of the oldest running backs in the NFL, Mostert is just getting veteran rest. He is fine and is not at any risk of missing Sunday’s game against the Jets.
De’Von Achane, RB, Miami Dolphins
Analysis last updated Friday, Dec. 15 at 4:25 p.m. ET.
Editor’s note: Achane was limited at practice on Friday and is listed as questionable heading into Sunday. It remains very much up in the air as to whether he will play or not in Week 15.
The Dolphins’ explosive rookie has dealt with a medley of injuries this season. A knee injury cost him four weeks earlier in the year. A separate knee injury cost him practice time but not any games. Now, he’s dealing with a toe issue that kept him out of practice on Wednesday.
At this point, it is unclear whether this is more of the Dolphins exercising caution with their young running back, as they wisely have all season.

Fantasy managers will need to wait for Thursday’s practice report before drawing any conclusions about Achane’s status for this week’s game. If he gets in a limited session on Thursday, that would put him on track to play.
In the event Achane can’t go, Mostert would remain the lead back, and Jeff Wilson would step into the RB2 role. It is unlikely Mostert’s workload would increase. Instead, Wilson would just assume most of the work that Achane has been getting.
Tyreek Hill, WR, Miami Dolphins
Analysis last updated Friday, Dec. 15 at 4:25 p.m. ET.
Editor’s note: Hill reportedly will not practice on Friday — after missing Thursday’s practice as well — and is being listed as questionable for Week 15’s matchup against the Jets. It remains very much up in the air as to whether he will play or not in Week 15.
We all saw Hill sprain his ankle on the “almost definitely getting banned next season” hip-drop tackle Monday night. He appeared to be in a ton of pain but was able to get up and then run to the sideline.
Hill missed the rest of the first half and most of the third quarter before deciding to give it a go. He was in and out of the game and clearly less than 100 percent. After the game, Hill said it’s something he will have to deal with the rest of the season.
There is no chance Hill will be fully recovered by Sunday. By his own admission, he won’t be the rest of the season.
Hill did not practice Wednesday, and it wouldn’t be a shock if he sat out Thursday’s practice as well. Nevertheless, he still has a chance to suit up this week. Hill is a veteran and does not need practice to play. A limited session on Friday would go a long way.
Hill has made it abundantly clear he wants to play. Even if his route tree becomes limited and his snap share is reduced, an active Hill has to be in fantasy lineups. Perhaps the Dolphins opt to hold him out a week, but my money would be on Hill playing this week.
