We are heading into the fantasy football playoff push, and a healthy fantasy team is crucial for a deep run. What is the latest news on RBs Raheem Mostert, AJ Dillon, and Kyren Williams?
Latest News and Injury Updates Impacting Fantasy
Raheem Mostert, RB, Miami Dolphins
Very few people believed in Mostert heading into 2023. And yet, here we are in November, and Mostert is currently the RB2 on a high-powered Miami offense with very little signs of slowing down. Injury seems to be the only thing to get Mostert off the field this season.

He did pop up on the injury report today as limited in practice due to ankle and knee issues. Mostert’s reps were capped at practice on Tuesday, just as De’Von Achane’s were, and the Miami Dolphins are on a short week, playing on Friday against the New York Jets. I anticipate Mostert playing on Friday, and this limited tag is probably just precautionary.
With Achane banged up and Salvon Ahmed heading to injured reserve, Mostert looks likely to carry the load on Friday if he is indeed good to go.
AJ Dillon, RB, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones went down to what initially looked like a brutal injury on Sunday, and fantasy managers turned their eyes toward backup Dillon. Unfortunately, Dillon might be hurting as well. The RB38 on the season has been decent when called upon, with three finishes in the top 24. Not too shabby for an RB2.
Dillon has been dealing with a groin issue lately, and it continues to have an effect this week leading up to their Thursday matchup against Detroit. It was an estimated practice report for the Packers on Tuesday, and he was listed as limited. Managers would love to see Dillon on the field, as it is unlikely that Jones will play this week, and Dillon will therefore get the bulk of the carries.
Kyren Williams, RB, Los Angeles
Williams was fantastic for the Los Angeles Rams and fantasy managers for the first six weeks until he went down with an ankle injury. Managers initially thought it was a minor injury, but when Williams went to injured reserve (IR), they knew they had at least four weeks without the RB. Earlier this week, head coach Sean McVay told the press that he expects Williams to be ready to go on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals in the Week 12 matchup.
He still needs to be designated from IR in order to practice, which should probably happen on Wednesday. To further illustrate how much confidence the Rams have in Williams’ health, they waived Darrell Henderson Jr. on Tuesday, the man who had stepped in to carry the load in Williams’ stead.
If, for some reason, Williams has a setback, Royce Freeman remains the backup in Los Angeles.
