Are the New York Jets defenders Quinnen and Quincy Williams brothers? Let's take a closer look to see if the two are more than just teammates.

We always hear NFL players allude to the saying “Faith, Family, Football,” and for New York Jets defensive players, those words certainly ring true. Jets superstar defensive lineman Quinnen Williams and linebacker Quincy Williams are brothers, both of whom are important members of a very good defense. But they also have a connection that no one else on the field can relate to.

Quinnen and Quincy Williams Living a Dream

Surely anybody who grew up playing football with their siblings dreamed about the thought of being able to play in the NFL with their brother. The Williams brothers have been able to do just that since 2021 when Quincy joined Quinnen with the Jets.

The two brothers are massively important pieces to this Jets fierce front seven and both are primed to have a great year in 2023.

Both brothers got signed to a contract extension this offseason with Quincy securing his future with a three-year, $18 million deal in March followed by Quinnen, one of the faces of the fierce unit, signing a four-year, $96 million deal in July. Both deals locked up the fact they will remain teammates — and provide a very cool story — for the foreseeable future.

Both Quinnen and Quincy are important pieces to the Jets’ success this season, and they’re off to hot starts in 2023.

In Week 1 versus the Buffalo Bills, Quinnen had five tackles, one tackle for loss, a QB hit, and a fumble recovery. Quincy, meanwhile, had himself a game as well, tallying 10 tackles on the day en route to a tough win that saw their star quarterback Aaron Rodgers be lost for the season.

The Jets, despite Rodgers’ injury after four plays into the season, were able to keep the game and the year on track. Now that the dynamic has changed with Rodgers conceivably out for the year, the burden will fall on the shoulders of New York’s defense to lead this team to the playoffs and beyond.

The two brothers will play a massive role in just how far this Jets team is able to go in 2023.
