Puka Nacua Has Hilarious 6-Word Reaction to Davante Adams Joining the Rams on $46 Million Contract

Davante Adams is set to join Puka Nacua, forming a dangerous receiving duo for returning quarterback Matthew Stafford on the Los Angeles Rams.

With those two standout receivers alongside an emerging Tutu Atwell, the Rams should remain in Super Bowl contention. Remember, Los Angeles was just a touchdown away from upsetting the Philadelphia Eagles in the postseason and advancing to the NFC Championship Game. They have the talent to compete.

Puka Nacua Expresses Excitement Over Davante Adams

Nacua took to social media to share his excitement about Adams’ arrival in Los Angeles, posting, “Ima need that Taco Bell plug,” on his Instagram story. He added emojis and a celebratory “Welcome to LA” message under a photo of Adams still in his New York Jets uniform.

The Taco Bell reference was a nod to Adams’ long-standing partnership with the fast-food chain. The idea started when Taco Bell asked Adams to star in a campaign, and he jokingly said he would if the company put a Taco Bell inside his house, which they did.

In the ad, Adams pulls up in a golf cart and orders a Cantina Chicken Burrito, joking, “Two things I don’t play about: golf and Taco Bell.”

Clearly, Nacua was having fun with Adams’ love for Taco Bell.

Davante Adams Set To Sign 2-Year, $46 Million Deal

Adams agreed to a two-year, $46 million contract with the Rams, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. The move, which becomes official when free agency opens on March 12 at noon, could lead to Los Angeles trading or cutting former Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp.

The oft-injured receiver is due $20 million in 2025 and $19.85 million in 2026, per NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo.

Meanwhile, Adams steps into a near-perfect situation, catching passes from a future Hall of Famer in Sean McVay’s high-powered offense. The 32-year-old receiver spent the second half of last season with the Jets, where he caught 67 passes for 854 yards and seven touchdowns.

A favorite target of Aaron Rodgers during his time with the Green Bay Packers and Jets, Adams has built a Hall of Fame-worthy résumé over his 11-year career. He has 957 career receptions for 11,844 yards and 103 touchdowns, ranking No. 33 all-time in receiving yards and No. 10 in touchdowns.

ESPN’s Bill Barnwell predicted that Adams could be enshrined in 2032, writing:

“It’s pretty conceivable that Adams could retire with well over 13,000 receiving yards and 120+ touchdowns, which would make him a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame. He is the type of receiver who should age well in the NFL, so maybe he could surpass those numbers by a large margin. Adams will be an NFL Hall of Famer, and it’s just a matter of when, not if.”
