Currently, we are hiring editors, writers, and data lab researchers. What do you get in return? Please note that at this time, we are not paying any staff. However, that is something that we will be considering in the near future.
Team Writers
The writers are the backbone of Pro Football Network. The expectation for writers is one article per week. We give you a specific day to publish your articles, and you must follow all PFN and SEO guidelines and protocol. Exceptional writing and grammar skills are a necessity for this position. WordPress experience is required, but occasional exceptions are made. SEO experience is also required. Prior writing experience for a legitimate, well-known website with at least eight pieces written on said site and have no “we” talk in one’s writing are also needed. Exceptions may be considered based on the type of website.

PFN Film Room
We love to tell stories through film and now is your chance to be a part of that. If you understand the nuances of film study, concepts on the football field, and love to use that to further your story, we’d love to have you.
The expectation is that you would complete one article per week. As with all other writers, we give you a specific day to publish your articles, and you must follow all PFN and SEO guidelines and protocol.
Exceptional writing and grammar skills are a necessity for this position. Additionally, the ability to properly break down film is a skill that you must possess. WordPress experience is required, but occasional exceptions are made. SEO experience is also required. Prior writing experience for a legitimate, well-known website with at least eight pieces written on said site and have no “we” talk in one’s writing are also needed. Exceptions may be considered based on the type of website All PFN Film Room writers are put through a test before you are officially onboarded.

Editors
We are building a team of editors to review our writers’ posts, making sure the SEO and Readability scores are up to par, and the content is sufficient. We are looking for editors who have exceptional grammar skills, have experience writing, and have experience with SEO. WordPress is also a requirement, but occasional exceptions are made. Each editor is responsible for overseeing three to four writers (three to four articles) per week. The editor is responsible for reviewing the writer’s draft before publishing and tweaking the article as needed.

Data Lab Researchers
Here at Pro Football Network, we are creating our own metrics system when evaluating offensive skill players. This is called Offensive Share Metric (OSM), which measures how well a player performed relatively ONLY to how he performed in areas solely under his control.
We are excited about this venture, but we need manpower to maintain our ranking system throughout the year. Your expectation in this position would be to research stats and watch a little film (we provide it for you), and use the formula that we provide you to complete the process to get a player’s OSM. There is minimal writing involved in this position.
